Crazy Nintendo Advertsing

Ok, I love Nintendo, I think their the most inovating, original, moral console maker left...
However, even I must admit they are completely and totaly insane....

What I think is way crazier is the way they are trying to rip people off by having them buy an e-reader and cards if they want to access features that're already in the latest Super Mario advance cartridge!

Totaly wrong dude, *IT IS NOT* in the cartidge, read IGN's review.
For a new level of mario 3, it takes a few different cards, each card being swiped from two posotions.
The bar-code like storage techique is based on an analogue system. This system stores far more data then the binary system used in shops.

Ok, the data stored is still <1MB, but it does actualy contain the new level data.
(allthough using existing sprites from the game).
=====
As far as the e-reader goes, its a great device.
It allows nintendo to give data away on a medium that costs nothing (paper). This allows them to sale old games individualy for cheap. (something you cant do with carts or even Cds)

For the idea to *really* work though, they have to team up with websites,Breakfirst cereal makers, magazines ect.

The card games could be put anywhere
(I mean, print, scan, play....)

Me agrees with DF, E-Reader is a very nice device.

Official Beard Sponsership
Oh and as for this, in the UK I think this translated to Mr. Des Lynam dying his tasche purple to advertise Super Mario Sunshine.

Good old Nintendo though, their advertising always makes me laugh these days.
