Things you are looking forward too this year

Ok, what are you looking forward to this year?

Films, Games, Books, Events....anything!

Me:

Film: Shuan of the Dead
British horror/comady by some of the people that made SPACED.
I'm a huge fan of their series, and the trailer looks very funny.

Nintendo: Dual Screen
Portable, 2 Screens, Wireless Lan and a dual CPU?
Do we have a clue what it actualy is? No
Do I want one? Hell yes.

Farscape Mini-series
Not a 5th series like it should be, but at least its something.
Thanks to the efforts of www.savefarscape.com the greatest most
un-cliché sci-fi ever made is finaly getting a conclusion.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords (Gamecube)
Multiplayer Zelda shouldnt work, but it did on the GBA.
Now theres a bigger cube version comeing that makes it
easier to play with 4 friends.
A unique game thats both co-operative and counter-op, im thoughly looking forward too it.

Book:The Hat Full Of Sky
The next Discworld book, due out in May.
Im just a slight fan of Terry Prachets books, so ill probably get this.
(slight as in I own and have read every single on of them ever written)

GIEST/TOO HUMAN (Gamecube)
Two mysterious Nintendo games due out this year.
Giest is a FPS where you play a spirit who can fly into and possess anyone thats scared enough.
Too Human is a complete mystery, no one has a clue what it is or what its about. However, its made by the Eternal Darkness team, and that was one of the top 10 games ever created IMO.

Science of Discworld III: Darwins watch
Dispite the name and the use of the discworld liesence, these are actualy very informative and well written science books.
The fact that the science chapters are worthen inbetween a funny story is a great bonus.
The first two were about the history of the universe and the earth, and how science itself developed, this one presumably is about evolution.

Other smaller things im looking forward to this year:

*Buying my first 3D computer screen
*More information about Nasa's moon plans, specificaly the replacement for the shuttle.
*Winning the lottary.
*Games: ZeldaGC2, Metroid Prime2,MGS:TS,POP,FFCC,Zelda GBA.
*More information on anything to do with F4Toys or Adeline.
*24 series 3...watched the first quater online, more twists then a curly wurly.

Getting those GCSEs finished

Warhammer Online coming out and myself having a great laugh with friends

Here are just some of many games I'm looking forward to, quite a few of these I have only just been informed of :

Rome:Total War - Watch as I crush Europe underfoot! (I also loved M:TW to bits, although I guess that the English will be none too powerful ((or playable)) in this time period)

Harvest Moon!! (and maybe Animal Crossing - most likely an Australian port for me)

Killer 7 (would Capcom mind telling us what this is all about?)

Mario Tennis

Starfox 2 (I loved Starfox and Lylat Wars)

As Darek said, Twin Snakes looks good too

Boktai - a original GBA game with a feature that doesn't seem to be a mere gimmick (it'll have to get me outside though dammit )

X2:The Threat - I just love space sims and this one looks great

Gangland - If Media Mobsters can pull this off, it'll be a jolly good mob management game.

Starship Troopers - Can Empire make this more than a bug-athon? Maybe not but I'd pay money just to see the oncoming wave of promised hundreds or thousands of bugs.

Looking forward to eventually getting all four seasons of Futurama on DVD

Couldn't agree more Darkflame, I loved the first two series (although a tad peeved at this one being Sky exclusive. Dang rich TV companies have a lot to answer for).

Will the in-development Red Dwarf film finally rear its head this year? We can but hope, especially with the original cast (by this I mean the excellent Norman Lovett et all).

As you can see, only a brief overlook here

thats more like it
Killer 7 is about a murderer with 7 different personalitys, and i have to agree with most of your choices there too.
(I hated SKY as well, im downloading the series right now )
X2 looks great, btw, allthough the daddy of them all: ELITE4 could be released this year!

Finishing to set up my new PC (and playing all the good games I have missed because my old PC was unable to run them.. i.e., anything from 98 'till now), studying a lot (and preparing for next year's fearable university test, the 'vestibular'), having fun with my friends (getting a girlfriend would be good, heh), other geeky stuff (coding the PHP part of my website and finding a host for it, creating my own linux distro).

Vacation to Japan!

CampZone 4! (previous year I attended CampZone 3, a huge outdoor lan party event)

Graduation! University is going smooth.

Kung Pow 2! It should be filmed in 2004.
Kill Bill 2 also.
...and Knowing, from the writer/director of Donnie Darko. Very promising, just for that fact.

Perhaps a new Dream Theater album?

Build an even larger fileserver to feed my never ending hunger for more data plus a new workstation pc. My current one almost lasts 3 years.

Perhaps find a room and live by myself. Start a live in Amsterdam, with job etc.

Lots of games like: Animal Crossing (2?), Harvest Moon:FoMT&aWL, Trium Planeta, Geist, Killer 7, Resident Evil 4, FF:CC, Boktai, Beyond Good&Evil etc.
All games that are (gonna be) great.

Nintendo DS: The concept is interesting, it's getting some great support, and Miyamoto is busy with its first game.
