None of those games are made by sony, so you could equaly say "deary me sony". (especialy as SSX3 is out on cube)
Eternal Darkness is made by nintendo, on the other hand. (well, a subsiderary at least).
And Rez rules (Sega, duh), but its the past, UNITY is the future.
--
Other stuff im looking forward too:

*Films: SKY CAPTAIN and the World of Tommorow.
Retro style Sci-fi, check out the trailer thread for more info.

*Games: Unity

Ever wondered what would happen is you mixed all the visulasations from WMP, WinAmp and Realplayer together?
Ever wondered what would happen if you then twisted and distorted them in to seamless soundsycned abstract landscapes?
And you then added a fractualy generated morphing ship?
Then got a single welsh guy with an unhealthy obbession with sheep to make the game?
Well, if you did, then this is the answere.
Unity.
http://www.cube-europe.com/screenshots.php?gid=unity

Lionhead is publishing it, Peter Molyneaux will no dought be playing it, but its
Jeff Minter who is makeing it.
People who have played Tempest2000 should recognise the name.

oh, and he also happened to invent computer lightsynths, so thank him next time you watch those pretty colours fly by when your playing an Mp3.

Tsk, tsk Robert. It seems someone has turned to the side of dark after emphatically praising Nintendo not long ago. Just listen to my good friend Darkflame for the good news.

I couldn't care less WHO made those games, the point is that they're on the PS2. And the Gamecube version of SSX3 has tricks cut out due to there not being an L2 or an R2.

Unity looks very interesting, hope he manages to pull it off. Mind you, Peter Molyneaux has managed to pull off one turd (Black and White, imo-in spite of it's originality, it didn't work for me) and I hope he doesn't give any thoughtful "advice" to jeff Minter.

I highly dought any tricks have been cut out, theres only one button less after all, im sure they just re-mapped it.
The only things cut that i read was one of the DVD features. Apperently the PS2 version has a few but the cube version just has a "making off".
=====
Hmz...I wouldnt call Black & White a "turd"....it was more a neat engine where they forgot to put the game in
oh, and it has an anoying tutorial at the start -_-

A real turd is,say, Universal Studios, or any other number of bad liesenced games.
B&W was just undedeveloped.
Peter Molyneaux has had far more hits then miss's, so im sure his advice is still good.

Populous, Magic Carpet, Syndicate,ThemePark,Dungeon Keeper ...ect ect.

Come on, the guys allowed one bad game right?

Hey I liked "Black and White", thought it was quite fun to play and although not perfect calling it a turd is indeed a tad harsh. I would definitely give it a percentage marking in the 70s or 80s.

Yeah, Black and White was great.
One of those games everyone liked..

That's a mighty fine list of games you listed DarkFlame, btw.

The guy seems to have a very big mouth. He has said for 2 years now that BC will be so wonderful and then he has another 3 projects that will be even more wonderful and revolutionating.

I think thats more down to marketing.
Have you read an Xbox artical on Project Ego, or whatever its called now?
They act like its,the second comming.

But, I think his games are normaly revolutionary, many of his "classic" games were at least.
And even black and white...I think the magic casteing system was quite revolutionary.
(allthough i had seen the techique in software before).

I think, Molyneaux is basicaly a man filled with lots of ideas.
So normaly a Molyneaux game will be something completely new or different...whether it is good or not though will depend on development time and enviroment.

Actually, if you read user reviews on gamespot or amazon, or read any good online gaming forum, you'll see it is NOT liked by gamers.

Half Life 2: Has anyone seen the trailers? Sheer graphical quality. G-man looks almost real, same with all of the people. It looks only marginally worse than Final Fantasy the movie!(The movie had almost realistic graphics)

Trium Planeta- As people have said before, if it is anything like LBA, it will be a hit.

Half Life 2's physics looks incredably cool, but I seem to be viewing it though different eyes because I dont find the graphics as amazing as everyone keeps saying.

Trium Planeta, yes, duh...but this year? not sure

I'm not talking about the site's reviews, I'm talking about the people's opinions...a lot of negative feedback from people who aren't paid/under pressure to give the game a higher score. And lots of crappy, overhyped games are a huge sucess.

Yay! Harvest Moon should be brilliant.

Well, I thought it was buggy, boring, frustrating, and deeply flawed nonsense. If it wasn't so quirky and original I'd have completely hated it.
