I'm installing BG&E now, hopefully it will work on my mediocre computer.

I played the game a bit, I even bought it since it was ridiculously cheap (€15 when it was still a spanking new game), but somehow it didn't quite get me hooked enough to continue playing for too long. Maybe it's one of those games where I need to fight myself through the beginning in order to start enjoying it (like Deus Ex).

nah, you will want to play it again, theres a few sequences that are cool, but you cant replay without re-doing the game.
Also, if you get hocked trying to get a good game score for the website, you will play thought at least twice to get all the pearls.

?
Its true.
BG&E is very much like LBA both in terms of style, setting, and gameplay.
Heck, even bits of the plot are simerlar.
Its a bit faster paced, but thats because the current generation of hardware allows it.

BG&E is about half-way between LBA and Zelda really.

Wacko ~ How far did you get?
It is really worth continueing, Allthough I personaly didnt find it that hard to get into.
(was hocked as soon as I had free-range with the hovercraft really).

It IS a good game, though I was never hooked on it. The suspence is generated now and then, and when it is, there is GREATNESS. But, I would have to say that for the majority of the game, I was not considerably enthusiastic. It gets repetitive at some points (the puzzles, for example, although they are always presented in slightly different ways). I also thought that BGE needed more character interaction (via story). Sure, in the gameplay, there is a lot of character participation, but otherwise I felt like the characters barely communed. Maybe I'm just saying this because the game was sooooo short. Unbelievably short, actually. And now, that there have been so few a sales, I doubt the game will get a sequal. I say that it needs a sequal for a good reason. I was abashed at the end of the game because I couldn't believe it. I mean, the cliffhanger is almost as tough as the end of Farscape Season 4.

Does anybody know more about BG&E 2 & 3 apart from that they are in development?

We wish
Nothings been confirmed.
They were planned indeed for that, but BG&E sold terribly. It was one of the biggest crimes in gameing, imo. (that and Eternal Darkness not being a block-buster)
They even released it straight at a budget price in the UK.

Currently the team is makeing a King Kong film to tie-in with the Peter Jackson film in development.

There is hope for BG&2/3, as the team is still together, and the engine potential has a lot left unused. But next year is way too optimistic.

umm...that isnt far off what BG&E needs.

BG&E :

700mhz CPU
128MB Ram (256MB if your using Windows XP)
Any G-Force card ( from "2" to FX)

Its just CPU your out with really.

Of course you could get a second-hand console for the cost of most cpus

I almost completed Beyond Good and Evil now.

I'd buy the game 4 days ago now, and already almost comleted it
Really cool game, with a good story!

This maybe sound stupid: but I was really emotional to see that there are still good games in development, between all those plotless fighting games.

If anyone is not sure to buy it: Please in name of sendell do so!

I forgot to say this, I actually played BGE, at my neighbor. Some weeks ago, it seemed nice and my target is still to get it for the PC. Despite the fact that his father called said "haha you play a children's game???" The same things we usually heard about LBA.
