The Obligatory E3 Thread

Its that time of year again, when developers all come to one big cattle market to try to plug their latest games.
Theorticaly, we should hate it.
It hypes up the big guys and often overshadows the little one, it makes publishers wait for the show before releaseing information...some even arrange their game schedreals so they have something decent to show.

However, dispite all that, all good nerds love it.
Its when we see the screens and videos of our latest games, its when we hear annocements by our favorate developer, when we get first impressions of rumours we heard months ago.

So, my fellow nerds, what games are you looking forward too hearing about?
What annocements are you waiting for?

Cant wait for more Half-Life 2/Doom3 info?
Want to see if the PSP has an atomic chip?
Or are you more interested to find out what exactly that Nintendoual Screen looks like?
Battle Field 2 or the Latest Total War?
Maybe your interested in what crazy thing Mr Miymoto will come up with next.

Whatever it is, share it here
In a few weeks we will find out...

Monkey Island 5 has been promised by LucasArts umpteen times but I don't think any kind of development has started yet poo. I would very much like to see the map screen of Rome: Total War, having learnt enough about the battle system from Time Commanders. Black and White 2 is something I'm interested in and as with MI5, there are rumours of a Baldur's Gate 3, although I would rather not have this happen. Doom 3? Wow, nice graphics but I don't give a toss about most FPSs, apart from HL2, I am looking forward to that. Hopefully Wind Waker 2 will not be as short as the latter and not contain cheap methods to stretch it out. Battlefield (as in '42) 2 will be a modern conflict (or so I have heard from some '42 geeks I know) and sounds intriguing. I would like to see the DS as well of course. My biggest hope is that following the trend of Zelda games, a new Zelda will be quite weird and wacky and not really apply to Hyrule (something like Majora's Mask would have me wetting my pants). I also hope that the PSP crashes and burns.

TWW2 its not listed yet, and might not be there.
I wouldnt worry if its not actualy, as i dont want that game to be rushed

However, i REALLY want another GBA Zelda.
Capcom was supposed to be makeing one for ages.
They did a good job with the "seasons" game, so i cant wait to see what they have come with with for the new one

Took me ages to get used to it, but i have to say its better now.
Even if its just for the "straigten" tool and the "background eraser".

Still, i hate the long loading time now

Eh, Lucas Arts has pretty much put a lid on any further Adventure Games. They have fired a lot of people that were on their Adventure Game Team (including certain programmers that made "Dig").

Its pissing me off, I have lost all respect I have ever had for that company.

Yes, they also turned down a guy that made a GBA Scumm emulator.
They could have made quick cash by releaseing old scum games with zero development costs
But they were too dam stupid.
The guy even offered them the code for free, and they still turned him down.

I fail to see E3 as something very special. Pro Evolution Soccer 4?

What does this mean then for PC games like Academy/Outcast?

Action games? I don't know. They're not really dead, but then again, Academy was shit, especially in comparison to something like Outcast. Lucas Arts has pre-occupied itself with Galaxies. You know, when something like that becomes a big hit, the only thing a company does is pour all of its money and work on it and nothing else. I think Lucas has went all out RPG. Its hard to say.

They just lost it, that's all I know. When you do something as crazy as aborting the release of two major productions, you know something's not right.

This felt as good a place as any to post some nice links as several things have been recently revealed on DS/PSP/other things:

PSP Specs here.

Fucking lovely Zelda clip here.

That's it for now, I'll see if I can find some more (I have some now, but it is from sites that require passwords and such which I borrowed off other people anyway).

Hmm...it seems to have went from a cute flashy style to more aggressive, Soul Calibur/Ninja Gaiden action.

Weirdly, Nintendo confirmed a sequal to The Wind Waker still in a Cell-Shaded style.
I wonder if thats still in development with this game.

It looks like the Link from Ocarina of Time too me.
No official title yet....unless...its a remake of the very first game.

You can only possess people when they are scared enough.

I hate playstation, but at the moment, I don't care, 'cause I love metal gear, and I'm totally amazed at how powerful DS and PSP are.

I'm really looking forward to LOZ: Minish cap, I've been looking forward to a new 2d zelda game ever since I finished the oracle duo.

Aha, there was an advance wars, for GC. I don't really like what I see sadly... and there still isn't any Golden sun 3.

In other new, where can I free of charge download a Hi-res version of the zelda trailer (GC) and the new advent children trailer
