I think they scrapped that, havnt heard anymore about it in ages

Matrix Online looks pretty good though

Its funny how stupid some companys are.
Did you see the comment that guy made
"Who cares we didnt get a +70% score...we sold loads!!!"

Dosnt he comprehend that if you make a great game, people will also buy a sequal? And they will buy the sequal regardless of the brand?
If they made ETM2 now it would sale horrible.
The Matrix brand isnt trendy any more (we gota admit it ) and people know the first game was crap.

If the first game was great however, if it was as good as the hype, people would continue buying matrix games...long term sales!

Great initiative.

What about game producers trying to affect their scores on those rating sites? They might find methods for that if they really want (or have) to.

Nice to hear that a company as big as WB are adopting such a nice initiative. Liscensed games really can be very poor.

You mean like the everlasting exclusive trips, demoreviewing, newest screens?
Seems quite a habbit in the world of gamemags

But this sounds like a great change indeed

Well, thats not really true.
Even with pc game sales falling each year, theres still more single player stuff sold then MMORPG.

However, with MMORPG's you pay monthly for content, so they get long term stream of money and a strong inventive to keep the quality high.
MMO games simple cant relay on hype
Also, unlike regular games, piracy isnt a problem with subscription based games.

Over the next few years MMO games are going to get more and more common.

Nothing beats the gameplay experience of a real good singleplayer game, even though MMORPGs may be good for hours and hours of decent gameplay.

About piracy: any game that is mainly meant to be played online will be bought anyway, since they have uncrackable server-side serial key checkers.

No, I mean influenting polls after their game came out. Like by faking votes or getting people to give them positive votes. Plus the developer team itself. Maybe there should be a smaller group of representative and trustable people who would actually vote for the games, like it happens with tv.
