New Gamecube+Game £45 (UK)

http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...oductId=128020

Just in case anyone wants one.

Id recomend;
Eternal Darkness (£10)
Beyond good and Evil (£15)
PoP:Sands of Time (£15)
Zelda The Wind Waker (varies)
F-Zero GX (if you like insane speed racers),
Tales of Samphonia (kick-arse RPG epic),
Paper Mario 2 (kick-arse RPG, but not so epic),
Metroid Prime/Echoes (very atmospheric first person adventures).
Super Monkey Ball (if you have drunk friends)

I wouldnt recomend Mario Sunshine, not a patch on Mario64 and still quite expensive in most shops.

I love the great deals Argos keep giving on GC but I hate the fact it undermines Nintendo in the high street!

Oh> bought 4 swords on saturday and am quite enjoying it - will have to wait for my brother to visit to play proper though It comes in a very nice presentation box if anyone is umming and ahhing and is only 29.99 in GAME. The only thing I would say is that a little more originality could have been used - will Vaati be the next Gannondorf? It is not really a patch on Minish Cap...oh and what's with Shadow Link? Mario Sunshine anyone? Come on Nintendo just a few different names would have done...

Zelda Four Swords is plotless really, its just a set of levels and such with no "progression".
But the fun comes from the multiplayer, its very replayable that way

Yes, its depressing the cube does so badly in the UK compared to elsewhere.
£45 for a system with at least a year of life left, a game, memory card, and a wacky controller is pretty darn insane value.

Zelda may be plotless but it is quite enjoyable. I do like a bit of a romp through 2d land. I wish you could carry items though!

I found it very enjoyable indeed.
Some of the level-2 items are very statisfying to use

Still, from the GBA "extra", to the Gamecube Game there is a lot of changes.
Im sure the DS version will refine it into a more seamless game
(recent interviews Nintendo has said the DS was made sepecificaly around the ideas of Four Swords O_o)

Oh crap - can't they leave the 4 sword thing alone now! It's just Minish Cap rehashed again and again - why must they use an idea til it dies a horrible death? Think of something new Nintendo - we all know you can do it!

I don't mind using the concept but change the names - at least then it feels like something new. Always fighting Vaati or Gannon gets boring imo

Poor Nintendo, the Gayercube is dying a slow and painful death at the moment.

I still like it though. But Sony have far better buisiness sense if you ask me.

Its doing fine in japan and america, UK and aust is doing horribly in.
Germany is doing supprisely well for some reason.

Its weird, dispite Sony saleing stupidly well in pretty much all regions they dont actualy make that much net profit O_o

Not exactly.
Unlike Nintendo, they only get money from 3rd party liesence fees..this adds upto a lot, but its not quite the same as Nintendo who get, like, 100% profit from sales of its first party titles. (and they normaly have at least 1 saleing over a million per year).

Of course, all those 3rd party fees for sony does come to a lot of money..but they seem to have a knack of spending a lot as well.
I think there non-gameing divisions account for part of the lose...they havnt done too well at all in the TV market from what I heard.

The PS2 probably dosnt make them a fair bit in hardware thinking about it.
The slimline PS2 is certainly cheaper to make (more intergrated = cheaper to manufactor), yet they charge the game.
That and they recently switched to having, like, 3rd world priced labour

of yes, ToS is good, very very good.
Very big too.

And,oddly, it probably has the most customisable interface to any game ever...
