Twinsen Concept art

Submisions for Twinsen concept art would be welcome around now!
Id like;

Front/Side elivations,
Head close up Front/Side,
Top view (not so detailed),

Correctly preportioned please (I dont want to have to spend too long morphing the bits to line-up with eachover on the different elivations).

We are going for an LBA style/look, except much more detailed.
The Eyes will be the size/position of LBA eyes, yet much more inset so that blinks/expresions look more natural.

I welcome as many submisions as possible, and I will use the best ones. (or bits of each!) to create the twinsen model.
Thanks,

Darkflame.

Give me a few days.
I feel like drawing at the moment, so i will do some sketches, but not as super detailed as my previous ones of zoe, i will just focus one the figure.
I know what you need Darkflame; i have a book called 'the art of oddworld' which has hundreds of concept art in it especially Abe (main character) who's sketches are basically similar to Twinsen (pony tail, different veiws).
I assume that you are using the front and side views mapped on rectangles method; that intersect each other that form a cross on top view. I used that method and i got a pretty good result: It was based of a photo of me, but i ended up changing the size of the eyes, and nose untill it looked nothing like me, but i'm happy with it.

Hmm, would my Twinsen model be of any help ? - the same one that I made for my game, I have him in the tunic and in normal clothes.

That is the exact method I would be using, yes.

It has a down-side though;
You cant easily set up max to look at the model in wireframe while having the planes previewing the referance picture ;-/
(see-though works, but sometimes I like wireframe to move vertexs about).

If you use the pictures as viewport-backgrounds it works better...but then, its harder to set up. (getting size/position right, that is...dosnt let you pan and "lock")

~sigh~
3DS Max is a great bit of software, but they really should fix some "3-version-old" bugs.

Gobbles could use it for a referance

I am more or less trying to make a mode that looks like the game model from far away, but up close looks much more detailed and realistic.

Can you give me a screenshot? I can open the file in my app, but it is very low poly, and when i smoothen it, it looks bad: his head looks very tense, and parts like his nose doesn't smooth with the rest of him well.
Darkflame: I have done some sketches, based of the inset Zoe eyes i designed, but it doesn't look like him. I like the basic shape of the face model though.

Heh, I know an ver old joke
"How does democracy look in USSR ?
-Comrades! whos with me can lower their hands and walk away from the wall!"
Gobbles, I'll post the pictures right away. You know, I made this model in different ways than 3DS works so it can probably look weird. The mouth with the teeth is just a texture, so you would have to model the mouth inside, and make the head smoother.

Most object models complete. Needing skilled ground and character modelers. Script frozen but I shall check this at my return.

Yes, it's a good concept. I should get it drawn on this 4-day long weekend coming up.

I don't think you can actually put it in a percentage yet. I think that it is being made back-the front, i think that all of the script etc.. should be done first before you start primary production (modeling).

We know Twinsen, Zoe, Dinofly, Funfrock ect will be in it for sure.
The script is only needed for the lesser charecters (ie, the ones your not sure if there in it or not)

Btw, 0/0% = anything% (because its possible mathmaticaly for 0/0 to equal any number you want )

Have you guys seen the new face I made for twinsen ? It probably would need more polys for a film (becouse it's for my game, not sure if I'm going to use it) but here are the pics. It was in my thread some time ago.

Oh, i just remembered this. I was going to do the concept sketch but it got buried amongst all the other tasks i was doing.
Jasiek: They are very nice models there. The polygon construction looks much better, The nose and the long forehead looks ok, but it's definately noticable changed from the original model.
