In other worlds, they put a message inside an asteroid to protect it while it travels through space to reach some other planet. In this case it is a gift, a guitar, rather than just a message.

Riddles! These might be very well known, I'm not sure.

Shapeless, I take shape. Unguarded, I escape.
Death in excess, death without slake. What am I?

I face my brother, he faces me.
By our sides, two more I see. What am I?

Liza, Elizabeth, Betsy, and Beth
Found four bird-eggs in a little bird's nest
Each one took a single egg from it
And yet when they were done, there were three left in it
Oh woe as me, how can this be, when four take how is what's left three?

You mean quadruplets? No. I originally solved that riddle as part of a computer spelling game where you beat up enemies, so I was given a list of letters to spell the solution from, which could make it more helpful.

Oh my, reminds me of this one:

1
11
21
1211
111221
312211
13112221
etc.

Trying to work logically, I think the next one would be 211, but I'm not 100% and I have no idea what the one after would be!

Well the one after that would have to be "3" I guess.

Yes that's right (terms on odd positions are digits sums of a previous term, the even positions everyone figured out)

If you like this I'll let you think about these:

1) KL, ACAD, OP, ?, ST, ?

2) 1, 4, 14, 17, 1417, 1420, ?, ?

3) 6, 565, 454565454, ?

4) 1, 2, 12, 5, 6, 56, 9, 10, 132, ?, ?, ?

5) 25, 235, ?, 235831275, ?

So, let's go for a hard one.

There is an island. On this Island live people with brown and blue eyes. There is 100 blue-eyed human.
There are some weird habits aswell.
1. No one can speak/communicate of someone else's eye colour.
....(you have no way of knowing what colour your eyes are.)
2. If you find out you have blue eyes, you must suicide at noon the next day, at the main place in the village so everyone sees it.
...(you don't have to kill yourself if you aren't from the island.)

One day, a swedish ethnologue comes to research the culture. He befriends a lot of the inhabitants and before leaving, he holds a speech in front of everyone, where he thanks the kindness of the people and is happy to see that there are blue-eyed people so far from his home aswell. The ethnologue then leaves.

Question : What is going to happen ? (Yes, something will happen.)

Just plain logic, no little loopholes like "you can see your eye colour in your reflection when looking into other people's eyes".

One of my analysis teacher gave it to the class, I found it pretty cool Not easy, but pretty cool.

little help
Spoiler:
Try solving it with one blue-eyed folk, then 2, then 3.

Hmm... alternatives:

1) Hmm, nothing happens? They just carry on their lifes because nobody wants to find out if they have blue eyes or not (and therefore suicide)?

2) They leave the island?

3) People start looking into the water to see their own reflection?

I've actually come across this one before. It takes some serious logical - not lateral - thought, but it's pretty cool when worked out (or if the answer is given, as it was to me )

SGK : no, no, and no x)

What's even more interesting is the second question my teacher asked (not part of the riddle, just a thought about it), why did something happen, whereas the swedish guy didn't give out any new information ? I still haven't figured that out.

Spoiler:
The Swedish guy made it common knowledge that people with blue eyes exist on the island. Before this, those with blue eyes can believe that they have brown eyes and everyone can think that those with blue eyes believe that they have brown eyes. Once it is common knowledge that there are people with blue eyes, something has to happen.

The other question is, if they can see the other 99 people with blue eyes why do they wait so long to pretty much verify what they already know?
