Question regarding an LBA 2 glitch..

Hi Guys,

Just watched this video on youtube:

Let's Glitch Little Big Adventure 2 #1 -

Have a look at: 6:04 through.

How does he make Twinsen do that jump where he seems to continuously keep going up in the air until he lands on that mountain to the flower?

I have kept pressing pause like he does and it does not work..

Is there something I am missing?

Thanks

Perhaps it is the jump save bug, only done really fast, or with removed frames showing the menus.

He does it at 5:05 too.

Intuitively i would agree with Zink. He might have edited the video to cut out the saving and loading that comes with the JSB (he calls it the 'infinite jump glitch') but it seems pretty neat regardless... also i dont know why he pauses the game with the 'p' command to do it.

EDIT: The answer is at 7:00. It's the JSB. However apparently he has a script to automatically edit it. Cool!

EDIT2: God there must be an unwritten rule of lba like "If it exists, there's an MBN post about it"

thanks for the reply there

Yeah he seems difficult to contact. Tried on youtube.

Is there a way of getting back to white leaf desert after getting the sword?

Nope, unfortunately once you leave for Emerald moon that's bye bye to Twinsun

You can, however, use a save game edit to do that. I have one with all the final items whilst on desert island if you want I can attach it

Wait, could pressing 'p' to pause actually reset the jump animation like saving and reloading does? If yes, that might be a faster way to JSB.

MartyK: Here you go. As it's an edited save the game unfortunately panics and there are some glitches like the fact that twinsun is both in the 'friendly' and 'invaded' esmer scenarios, which can offer some amusing antics though .

Also, let me know if you manage to get to Zeelich! I tried both going via emerald moon and as a wizard guest but Baldino isn't in his moon cell in the former, and the game crashes when the shuttle is about to land on Otringal in the latter!

Battler: If you have a look at the thread I linked, the author of the video was a member and he explained that it's the traditional JSB, just edited for the video playthrough

What the years do to a forum about a colorful, fun video game from the 90s.
