Oceanhorn is a great comparison as its in the same rough genre.

In fact, its mentioned in this list along with LBA1&2 which somehow made its way on it.

Who are these punks rolling in their crowd funded cash while we're here struggling to figure out how to afford a cure to treat our injured Dino-Flys?!
Well, a company called Rare made a 3D Platform game called Banjo Kazooie for the N64 which everyone loved. Then stuff happened. Rare was bought by Microsoft, lots of people quit and they made nothing good since*.

Some of the people that left decided then to make a spiritual successor to Banjo Kazzoie at their own company which is this game.

I guess that doesnt really explain why they got funded so well, but it isnt like they are just any random company. They have a existing reputation and fanbase to trade from.
(I guess much like War For the OverWorld had with Dungeon Keeper fans)

*(simplifing a bit)

Isn't that remarkably similar to what happened with the LBA team?

ish.
LBAs team has one advantage over those two though; They have the rights to their own IP.
So no need for a game called "Small Large Quest" where you play a guy called Tripletsun and have to destroy enemies with a Techno-yoyo.

Come on someone with skills, maybe Battler, could check this out.

I even think this information needs a dedicated post

Well in light of this wouldnt the prospects of a kickstarter lba3 seem more open than closed?

EDIT: forgot to mention that that's hilarious

Totally forgot about the stream.
Fred reactions are amazing on the scripting and scene issues.

Also notice Didier seem not like the idea of giving the code. Fred was kind yeah we can give, etc., but Didier was very still.

Hope 2Dark has a nice reception. It would be perfect if the game can make a push for LBA3 to happen.

I would like to finish TwinE. With a complete game, I can see this being used to port to various platforms out there.

So Polaris, you are working on a translation? Eager to see the video, the Twitch link doesn't load for me.

There's a YouTube video, if that works better for you. There is a delayed chat with an on-the-go translation made by me and Julian.

I don't think I have made any. Perhaps old one during Prequel.
It looks quite similar to the original.
