Would Twinsen prefer a sidesaddle for riding Dinofly?

Twinsen wears a tunic and I know that ladies in the middle ages wore similarly cut dresses, but then rode a horse on a sidesaddle. Maybe Twinsen doesn't mind showing his calves, but when riding over the Hamalayi mountains that seems a bit chilly. Should he switch to a sidesaddle? Does anyone know how the Tunic-wearing Romans did it?

since twinsen can run around and stand still 24 hours in the hamalayi, it either isn't cold there, or twinsen is not subjective to cold

I think there might be a dark reason why he can do that: When he gets there for the first time, there's a cutscene where he almost dies of the cold and then snow weasels come and he can suddenly jump around the Hamalayis as if it had room temperature. Guess what, he slaughtered and skinned the snow weasels to make himself nice and warm underwear, that's why
