Ubisoft Montpellier, which Fred works with is known to be currently developing Rayman, Tintin, and BGE2 (Presumed). But there are also projects that it has not announced that are in development from what I gather. If Fred was working on Rayman, or Tintin, then he could announce it. If he is working on BGE2 or another unannounced game, then he can't.

Place your bets ladies, is it BGE2, LBA3, or some other unknown game?

Fred can't say the name of the game.

He must be as excited as we are.

$20 it's LBA3 lol

Plus that's twinsen on the back of the slate lol

Is it really the same? I don't remember the original Slate having a "hang-up-hole" on top of it. Are the amount of lines on the grid correct?

I think it will be another small game like Soul Bubbles, it would explain Ubisoft not announcing it at E3. Although LBA isn't exactly super popular so would they bother announcing it at all? If it isn't LBA3 (which I expect) then hopefully if Fred makes enough successful games at Ubisoft he will be able to convince them to put a team together to create LBA3 sometime in the next 10 years.

But if it's a small project why would he bother announcing it at all? Why would he bother creating so much hype?

Heh, "so much hype". I wouldn't really call writing an ambiguous message in a site almost no one knows about a real big hype.

He knew that we would find it and get all excited. This is just for our sake, but I highly doubt it's what we want it to be.

Can some native French speaker confirm they use the same word for slate as in the LBA2 game?

Your taking the appearance of the slate too literall. So the new one has a whole? Means jack shit. The whole slate is different, what's different about it? It's about 10 times better graphics wise. It would make perfect sense for the new game to be LBA 3, doesn't mean it is though. And when I say perfect, I mean perfect. Let's assume it is LBA 3, for arguments sake. He had to choose an item which could represent LBA, but not necceserily does. For example, if it was a magic ball instead of a slate, we would all be thinking LBA 3, no doubt. But with it being the slate, that gives hints towards LBA 3 but doesn't give the whole game away, it still might not be. Another reason for this being LBA 3 is that it symbolises much better graphics. He's taken a simple prop from LBA, previously with shitty graphics, and dramatically improved the graphics. The slate says for me "It's back, new and improved!"

Then again, it could just be a stock image used, which just so happens to be a slate, as you write on it, and fred needed to write something, and paper is too boring..?

Wait, does that mean that this bet is postponed until further clarifications?

I think the choice of the slate wasn't accidental, and that it has got a hole doesn't mean anything. I think he was searching for an image of a slate and he found this one.

No, you misunderstood me. I sent him an email. His e-mail address is pretty easy to find. I can tell you in PM how I got it, if you want.

I don't want everyone to know the e-mail, because anyone could sent unwanted messages to Fred then.
