Just a reminder about the Languages section in the documentation page of the site. You should remove the Bulgarian from the list of not supported language characters :P .

Your first version is in the last downloadable lite version.
This one or next one will be in the next version.

Thanks.

Thanks Fred, for mentioning me in the credits on the website
Well on the betatesters line, but that's still fine

I couldn't find any bugs so far, besides some ideas that I already mentioned. But were MBNers given a free copy of the full version for testing too? I couldn't figure that out.

just got it, it's our mission

I think we should all buy both games on the mbn. Imagine how much that will generate if we all did it.

and it's not so much to ask for....

Were there any updates to the full version of bOxOn since 3 October? I'm asking because I haven't recieved an email with a download link to a new version since then.

You'll automatically (almost) receive an update link.
According to this, if a new version had got released I should have.

Yes Renesans you're right.

I'm working on it. I didn't save the version number every registered user received. Now it's done. But before yesterday or so, I can't know who got what. (and I can't resend an email to everybody that tells them "GO ! quicker ! you got two days to download this new version with no visible difference for you !" ) So i'm working on an on demand resend feature for the web site.

What do you think (do you keep it somewhere?) about asking the paypal transaction id as a confirmation to be able to download new versions ?
(and yes, then I can ask for a user password to replace this default one, to be able to log on the website, upload your scores, write on your wall (no, that one is already done), oh dear, it's cool to do everything but it gets me really busy those days )

But don't be too sad Renesans, new versions are mainly about bug fixes. For instance, the most important difference between version 1.2.6 and 1.2.7 is that the zooming level number that is displayed at the beginning of every level is not any more 1,2,3,4,5 on the lite version but their faked equivalence number from the full version 82, 113, ... as they are displayed in levels list and victory screen...

But anyway, you just won a manual resend ... 2 mns later ... oh that's quite funny, as there is no visible difference in the full version, I didn't regenerate it. the download link you are receiving is the 1.2.6 version !

Okay, thanks Frédérick, I was only interested in whether I will recieve updates automatically forever or not but this problem is now solved.
I find bOxOn quite an addictive little game (especially when I can't beat a level!). Some levels are really challenging. I just finished level 347 but it took a huge amount of retries. So I'm really enjoying the game and (again) I can't wait to play it on my iPhone.

Oh yes, you are so welcome to !!!
as long as it doesn't means too much extra work to implement it/them or too much work for you.
I don't have a multilanguage system, english and french are just two html pages. What worries me is that we are still doing modifications on both quite often, so how can it be seamlessly doable yet ? I need to think about it. (meaning without changing too much the way it works now)

The easiest way for me is that you provide me the localized html page as it is. Then we just have to add flags links, paypal/fb/... buttons code. Giving us just "unreadable" text could be a nigthmare that will lead to funny misplaced texts.
What kind of editing tools can you use/have for that purpose ! (don't answer Notepad, I'm not here to punish you )

I'll gladly translate the bOxOn site into Hungarian. I use Dreamweaver or Expression Web for HTML editing.

You could do variable languages with some fairly simple php code.

Require("text_eng.txt") would, for example, copy the contents of text_eng.txt into the html document at that point. In this way the formating of the page and the language could be kept seperated.

Or, you could (indeed using PHP) replace all textual strings in a webpage by a php array.

Like this:

HTML Code:
<div>
  <p>This is normal and untranslated text</p>
  <p><?php echo $lang[$currentlanguage]['SimpleText']; ?></p>
</div>
Whoever've worked with PHP would see that this uses a variable to hold the current language ($currentlanguage, duh), and use that as an element identifier in the multi-dimensional array ($lang) holding all text, further sorted by string literals. This should be simple enough without further explaining.

After some reflections, I think it could be difficult to have fully localised web pages in a language I can't handle, especially if it has a contact form.
So I'm more thinking about local translations, that could be displayed without the need to do or maintain the whole page. (and as always, that does not ask too much work, the next game is crying...)
