That's exactly what it does. It means that it doesn't matter how many life points (or: health) FunFrock has, as soon as it hits below 50, it will always reset back to 50.

HOWEVER, this doesn't necessarily mean he cannot be killed there.
It only means that as long as you hit less than 50, he will always remain alive.

Ok, I think this is nitpicking. You can't get a hit power so large, that you could take 50 life points with a single hit...

So essentially you are saying that if I did manage, by dint of superquetchian effort, to kill Funfrock on top of Polar Island, he would still show up in the next scene? Aw, shucks. That's a bummer.

Oh well, too bad. I sort of lost interest anyway, after what McK said above.

I'm only being precise you know, it's the way of programmers.

I'm not saying that, as I don't know if it is true that a destroyed object won't affect other area's. In some games it's ignored as if it never happened - games such as these, where your position instead of your actions affect next behavior - and in other games, it actually makes the game crash.

Spoiler:
A perfect example of a crashing game: Return to castle Wolfenstein. If you play the Rocket level, where you need to destroy the rocket before it launches, you can make the game crash by using cheats. Turn off clipping, and fly straight to the rocket, to destroy it before it ever starts counting down. This will confuse the game as soon as it tries to start the counting down of the rocket object, which isn't there anymore.
