Where's this picture from?

Hey I was just looking at the MBN homapage, and in the random image link I saw a thumbnail of a wierd picture, so I opened it up and got this: (Image attached)

Why are there 3 doors, in my LBA2 there's only 1, and why is the assistant dressed in blue?

This was a preview image.
It was released with the Beta of the game.

A number of things changed between the preview and the final versions.

(Eg, Dinofly is on that hill thing instead of behind the house.)

Do anyone know what those other doors was for? They lead instantly to the dome of the slate or the balsam mission?

Yeah... those pictures are strange. I wonder if there is any beta tester or developer of LBA2 who still has that old beta version. I would really like to try it.

I think they had other tests planned back then.

Yes probably 3 inside based tests, but maybe they decided that would be a bit repetitive.

Or too easy seeing as they were right next to each other.
What else would they use the Dome of the Slate for? A telescope for Baldino?

I think they wanted to give the car and Dinofly a required use, so as to add in some minor outdoor quests.

Or they maybe wanted to keep the old tradition of the Island-hopping.
Otherwise you'd never see all of the ferry-movies

The dome of the slate originally wasnt in lba 2 and the dome of the slate used the first and last doors of the school of magic. Middle door was blowgun test, last door you entered the maze/invisible path room and you quit that room in the first door (first meaning the door on the left) and there was no map unlike later in the final version where there is map on dome of the slate.

JCCrawler, are you saying you have a copy of this preview LBA2?
Kobold, it's still possible they had that island there, but that wasn't where the wizard's maze was located.
Although I also checked for that as well, so I'm more inclined to side with you.

Wow. You can tell I haven't played LBA 2 in awhile, I never even realized there was anything wrong with that pic.
