Who wants to design his/her own island?

If you selected "Not me" than you probably wouldn't like to know that I made programme which can display rooms and islands from LBA 1 and rooms from LBA 2 .

But it is not over. I will be working on turning it into editor!

You can download it here:

http://80.55.102.190/~zink/lba/downl...onstructor.zip

Actually there are three programmes together: brick, library and grid viewer (everything is explained in readme). Some screenshots are attached with this post.

I have problem how to name it, "LBA Constructor" isn't a good name I think. I have some ideas:
LBA Room Editor - but it will be able to edit not only rooms
LBA Isometric Editor - sounds weird
LBA Level Editor - the worse one, I think

Please tell me which one do you like the most, or your ideas if you have ones.
And "Editor" ending is another thing. I would rather like "Tool Kit" or "Pack", what do you think?

And any bug reports are welcome, except the ones like " I get 'out of memory' message." or "It works terribly slow." . I know that it devours tons of RAM and you have to wait ages for effects and I will work on it in the first place.

I also released file format descriptions of files used in room/island design in LBA 1 and room design in LBA 2. You can download it from documents section of my site.

I am awaiting your opinions.

I'm pleased that you like my work

LBAcraft sounds good, but don't you think that LBAcraft applies to whole LBA engine rather than only rooms?

DF: LBA Architect sounds good also. But I would like LBArchitect more

ReadMe.txt:

"You can treat this programme as a kind of "demo". It is now only viewer, but I am going to turn it into an editor. It will be hard I think, but it is worth trying."

Well, the name was naturely inspired from WorldCraft, which is an editor for a few FPS games.

Yes, open the LBA_Bll.hqr with the new LBAPackedEd (v0.08a - that have this new extension *.bll) and extract it and open it in the Layout program.

And to say, that my computer at home is broken (I have to change the hard disk; the old one doesn't work, it's not detected), so I can't test it. Amazing program, Zink, anyway.

- Darkflame: can the program you mentioned edit only levels for new FPS games, or also for the old ones (Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold, Wolfenstein 3-D, Corridor 7, Operation: Body Count, Wolfenstein 3-D: Spear of Destiny, Blake Stone: Planet Strike, ...)?

- Zink: your program doesn't work. Yesterday evening, I tested it, and GRID.EXE told me "Paramter not correct", when I tried to draw the room after loading it (and this with both LBA 1 and LBA 2 files). Please, help me.

BTW: This is my 800th post (I'm now very near to the 1000).

For LBA1 you need to put paths for all files, Bricks, Layouts and Grids. Then click in the Load data and when finished just choose a room and draw it. You have to wait a little.

For LBA2 you just need to open the path for Backgrounds (lba_bkg). Then click in the Load data and when finished just choose a room and draw it.

I do exactly, what you told me to do, but when I click Load Data, it says to me "Parameter not correct", and furthermore, in Portuguese, "O parametro não é correcto". Got it now?
