Textures

Long time ago I started a topic....

Nah, what the heck.

Nights or Homer, what insidetextures do you two have? I only have some of Citadel Island and I would like more. Some simple ones such as walls and stuff from Citadel Island and Desert Island. And others if you have. I know they can't be extracted but have to be made by hand.

And for the people who want to do something for LBA-DM and the T2-map, you can help us making those textures. You don't have to be extremely skilled to do so, so if you want, tell us. I don't know which textures Nights would like (a pitty he isn't online very much), but I know some I want and my models will probably also be used for the HL-maps.

Thanks in advance,

CrOvAx

Yeah, I made some in- and outside textures from LBA1 some time ago. The outside textures from LBA2 can be extracted with LBADeComp, I thought.

Phoenix did most of inside textures from LBA2, so I've been told. I've never had those, so I can't send them to you. I can send you the LBA1 ones if you want.

Could you send me those textures, too? It might come in handy sometime and it's convenient as a back-up

The only textures I ever made were ALL the external textures from LBA2, which were compiled into a Half-Life WAD3 file and released. The latest version with mirrored textures for doors and such was called External-V3.exe (self extracting archive).

I also made a wad containing ALL the internal textures from Twinsens' house in LBA2 and Luc's Bar.

Lots of ppl have those WAD files, if ur'e missing one of the internals ones, I'll be happy to upload it.

Thumbs Up

I don't have the ones from the bar, only the inside of Twinsen's house and ofcourse the outside textures. It would be cool if you would upload them.

I'll do the rest of the textures myself. Especially the wall and ceiling textures are important for me, because it gives the map the LBA-feeling. (the music adds to the atmosphere also, really cool )

There are some texture packs on Bu's temple, even if those are not LBA ones.

BTW - HomerSimpson, Crovax, Phoenix - could someone send me or upload on the RMP FTP all the LBA type textures you've extracted/created for LBA DM ?
It could be extremely usefull for the RMP. Thanks

Firephoenix the textures from LBA would be useless for RMP, the highest res ones I extracted were 128*// down to 16*// textures that size couldn't be used for the RMP, they couldnt be scaled up either.

The only way you could use LBA textures for the RMP is to completely remake textures in photoshop or something, and u can use game shots for that. LBA textures look bad enough in the half-life engine as it is, in a rendered movie....ewww!

No one has textures that could be good for a movie so...what a pity...

Thats precisely what I did for most of my textures.
I used the game textures as a template bottom layer while making new textures.
I got near perfect matchs that way.
