That's pretty weird to read. Either they like to tease us, fool us, or there really is something going on. Only time will tell. Ofcourse I hope it's all real. This post needs a new title!

I can't believe it, wow. Damn gut feeling was right for once, all the posts and concept art, and the teasers.

Will email Fred and hope he's confirming it too. Oh, and if the Mayans are to be trusted, Fred is making LBA3 just before he (and all of us) dies

I wonder then, if this is the "big project" they mentioned back in late 2008, pre-development perhaps, or maybe they have another large project to be released prior to LBA3.

Well with the whole Arthur thing. It does make sense I guess.

But yeah a reboot would be a smarter move perhaps. Tell the story all over agian from the start. Or rather introduce us to Twinsun agian from the start.

I am thinking they could combine it. With use of some good story telling introduce us to the world agian. Avoiding it's past... maybe Arthur could be mystified about his legacy.... hehe... just some ideas...

But yeah, YAY LBA3!

Weird they would talk about it when still in negotiations tho.

Didier Chanfray released a note on his Facebook (here it is, in English, I used Google Translator):

"In view of the many messages received in recent days LBA I want to clarify some things:

1. To date, LBA3 is not planned.

2. A PC edition LBA1 & 2 (cloud) is negotiating the end of the year

3. A "remix" of LBA1 on touch pad is under consideration.

I do not want to disappoint the fans, but the road to LBA3 is still long and bumpy. If luckily the public's enthusiasm generated by the PC edition and "remix" was to go, we might finally be an opportunity to seriously consider the creation of a whole LBA3 (funding / Game Design / Technical and supports).

Thank you for your understanding and your support for past, present and future."

That's kinda conflicting.

Maybe he didn't mean the message he sent me to go public? Oops.

heh I think you got it right CF. Anyway, "A PC edition LBA1 & 2 (cloud) is negotiating the end of the year", that's still some news, no? I mean, all of us must buy this thing if it helps considering the creation of lba3

That means they're planning a series reboot so that it could generate demand for LBA3.

What does he mean by "PC edition of the game"? Weren't they intended for PC on the first place? And what's "cloud"?

(can't trust Google Translator)

To everyone who said the words "series reboot": what does it even mean?

I think the main confusion is about the word "planned".
You can read planned as if a plan is already set out. Or less literal: that there is some kinda aim. Guessing thats the crux here and he felt the need to differentiate, avoiding false hope and misinterpretations.

I don't speak French, but "dématérialisée" sounds like it just means downloadable.

I think that even if they were planning LBA3, they wouldn't announce it like they did.

Does sound like the message sent to CF may have been in actuallity true, but that they may not have wished it to be spread as official. Games usually get announced at events like E3.

Could also be that they want to see how far the rumor spreads, to guage the current level of interest.

I'm happy to wait and see what happens.

Twinsen

I chat with Didier, and he said, if the re-release will make demand, there will be LBA 3...

Maybe, I post a picture from it.
