Can you please explain why you changed the name, instead of sticking to the original?

In Hebrew we left all names as they were (except for names of places).

Oh, right .

Then maybe we should consider making some Hebrew names as well .

Like Igulada* for spheroes .

May be difficult in the begining because we are accustomed with English names.

Isn't "-im" the Hebrew suffix for plural? And yes, it's "spheros", and not "spheroes".

Well... thanks. I forgot, that in Portuguese (and also in Spanish), if the "S" is followed by a consont, and if it's at the beginning, it must be preceded by an "E". I'm starting to mix things up with Italian... Well... Will you use my idea?

Thanks - Toda
Please - Bevakasha

As for the names- do names in other languages have a meaning, or are they just some random letters joined together?

- moshem:
- Bouboules: bouboule is actually a French kind of bread (also sold in Slovenia in shops).
- Quetches: Quetch was something from some American (Hollywood) film.
- Grobos: ???? <unknown>.
- Laphicons: maybe Le Laphiche is Rabbit in French?

Thumbs Up

Wow, 7 years later and here I am to review my old translation.
With this new GOG release I think we deserve a better Portuguese translation. I'm improving translation and using the new orthographic agreement we've got recently which make changes to a lot of words (something to be more friendly together with Brazilian Portuguese).

So far already finish this files:
- text002 Menus
- text004 Credits
- text006 Inventory
- text008 Citadel Island

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who suddenly felt like improving his translation .

Good to know you're doing it.
I had a similar desire few years ago and actually started but didnt finish it. Still, it was better because I was doing things worst in some wats than the first realease. Now, I'm confident with new version and hope everything will sound great during the game. I will wait till finish to play the game again with this new version.

- alexfont: What about the European Portuguese translation of LBA 2? Any plans to resume your work on that?

I do plan as well, but before I have to make sure the LBA1 translation is right.
