Did Twinsen ever have a job?

he has a fairly large house for somebody who never had a job and gets all his kashes from bins and other people's cupboards

Twinsen's house if ten times bigger than any other house of the planet anyway. No wonder FunFrock wanted to have it demolished.

He's the fucking man. That's his job.

Seriously though, I'm not sure what he'd be qualified to do. I guess after LBA 2, he could teach at the school of magic.

There must have been a recession between the 2 LBA games. His house in LBA 2 is much smaller!

Since he saved Twinsun, he's probably a bit like the Royal Family (of England); does fuck all and gets paid for it. Think about it... memoirs, television interviews, sex scandals, films... the possibilities are endless. AND he's just been introduced to a whole new audience of Zeelichans. So he's making a LOT of kashes from his publicity alone, but I guess Zoe keeps him under control otherwise he wouldn't have to go searching in trash cans.

As for before he was famous, interesting question. I'm betting on some kind of apprenticeship with Baldino.

He didn't know Baldino. And Zoe is the machine-head in there.

With a population as apparently low as Twinsun's and with (apparently) things like healthcare as easy as eating candy, I dont think youd need much money at all to live on Twinsun.
I mean, once house's are built they stay built. Given the smallness of the islands they probably have some method to get water purified directly from the sea water, and you dont exactly see people eating that often either.

Always seems to me a bit like a socialism+ society, where the minimum of work gets you practicably everything you need and you only need to work harder if you want more.

Perhaps he was some sort of errand boy for Bersimon. I always got that impression in LBA 2.

No, not really. Underpants aren't mentioned in either games, it doesn't necessarily mean everybody goes commando.

Whether he's a criminal or not depends if you're a Machiavellian, had he not done those things he'd probably have not saved the Planet etc. etc.

Does the end justify the means? If so, Twinsen should be appraised for the insight of his actions and for the betterment of his people on a whole.

A quote from The Prince I feel is vital is: "A principality is created either by the people or by the nobles, according to whether one or the other of these two classes is given the opportunity."
This extends over a span of both LBA games in that Twinsen essentially functions as a noble in this case. In the first LBA he founded the second generation of dictator free enlightened Twinsunians and in the second sustained its existence. HOWEVER! This was due to the fact that he was given the opportunity, ie receiving Sendell's power in both. What should be brought to the table is that principalities are formed from both either nobles or the people. What would have happened if it had have been the Twinsunians as a whole revolting in place of a single empowered 'noble', as both according to The Prince should result in similar results? This has profound effects on LBA as a whole in that it could have been a highly effective RTS or even turn-based for that matter. Should this have happened LBA would have been completely contemporary to present times instead of being part of an awkward, obsolete generation of so named 'adventure' games.

Of course, to be on topic to this discussion, one can never go without referencing The Art of War. I feel that it is most fitting to note the following quote:
"If you do not know the place or time of battle, even though your troops outnumber others, how can you know whether you will win or lose?"
This I believe was the ultimate reason for Funfrocks demise. He suppressed the Legend, however, he did not prepare himself for the time. He had many clones, but Twinsen's sheer surprise of his appearance is what knocked Funfrock onto his hindlegs. One can easily see why should Funfrock have taken the appropriate measures, the chronicles of Twinsun would have been different.

Wait, what were we talking about?
Spoiler:
If you guessed that I took two random books out of my bookshelf and picked some random pages and quoted them, then you deserve a noddy sticker and a glass of milk.

EDIT: Walls of text are strangely gratifying. I can see why Jasiek does it now.

It is apparent that the rate of return for walls of text are depressingly low.
