barrels
![]() I was looking at a speedrun on youtube. ![]() And then saw these barrels, are they always there when you enter? I can't seem to recall those at all. ![]() |

How strange, does he get around them?
If not then perhaps it's something to stop you entering the museum too early. |

Those barrels are in the floppy-disk version (released in 1995). They prevent you from the red card bug.

True. They must have noticed it early enough.

Actually I visit these forums almost every day since 2006 (I registered in 2007), but I post very rarely.

Creepy! Maybe there are millions of lurkers on the MBN, and we're all famous, we just don't know it.

I think you know!
You probably have a separate forum for the MBN lurkers. Except you all just lurk there. You don't even have any sections, it's just a blank page. BUT YOU ALL VISIT. EVERY DAY. |

They only lurk on the MBN, they have their own forum where they talk about their MBN lurking experience.

Yes, I used to be a member. Basically we have discussions about the rest of you, even though you have no idea who the heck we are!

![]() The awnser you posted seems to be very plausible and rather exclusive to me. One must know a lot about LBA in it's difrent stages/versions, or base it on a lot of assumptions. Since I hold what you said to be true I also must belief you know a lot specific things. And people who know a lot specific things are a suspect. ![]() Lol guess I am not making any sense here. ![]() Last edited by Odysseus; 2008-07-11 at 21:54. |

I have the PS1 version of LBA1 and the barrels are always there and you can walk around them. this doesnt interfere with the red card though because you cant get in through the sewer untill you have gone in the door using the card and lowered the sewer grate from inside the room. Infact theres a notice next to the grate in the sewer that says it only opens from the inside.

The red card bug involves entering the museum through the front entrance and escaping through the sewer while the alarm is triggered. The barrels make sure you can't get down fast enough to escape the white grobo's concussion ball.

Maybe the PS1 version was slightly different but just by using the red card door doesnt set off the alarm. I had to enter through red card door, lower the sewer grate, climb back up through the prison sewer grate, set off the allarm for the museum that the grobo is fixing. because the gate to the main entrance for the museum will now be shut (the grobo standing outside says that the museum is temporarily shut) you now have to go back the way you came through the sewer and up through the grate behind the barrels. (i have no idea why the barrels are there maybe its just to make the grate harder to find but i dont thinks its to stop you getting away from the supergrow's flying disk jobby thing cos i never had one of those fired at me)

I said front entrance. i.e. buy a ticket at the ticket store next to the door and enter the museum. When you enter the rabibunny inside recognizes you and sets of the alarm.

The barrels are there because you can be quick enough to escape the supergo's bullet, and use the entrance to the sewers (see attached image) when entering the musem through the front entrance. This way you can get the key from LeBorgne's treasure, without the red card. The problem is, that you won't be offered with the red card after this. The card is neccessary to complete the game, because there are areas that you can only open with it, like FunFrock's HQ in Principal Island. However, in the floppy-verson and PSX version, the barrels are blocking your way so you have to go between them, and especially with the wall hit on, you just can't be fast enough to reach the entrance, so you end up in prison.
