Quick question: the pharmacist in LBA 1

After you knock him out and take the cherry syrup, is he still there if you return later in the game? Does anyone remember this?

Nope, he does not return. Once he's dead, that's it - does not appear anymore no matter how many times you visit again. It's strange really, because that seems to be one of the only places in LBA1 where you go to kill someone and they don't respawn the next time you re-enter the scene.

Isn't that a weird design choice? I guess the developers figured that the player did not need to go again, so it's just empty afterwards (besides the extra Kashes in the register - you can keep going to get I think 10 Kashes each time).

I still clearly remember the dialogue:

Pharmacist: Twinsen, what are you doing here? I heard you were arrested only yesterday.

*Alarm blares!*

Twinsen: They let me out early for good behavior!

Pharmacist: Impossible! Nobody gets out of the Citadel alive.

*Grobo yells!*

*Twinsen beats everyone up, robs the cherry syrup and even the Kashes*

But, I still cannot think of any other location in the game that's like this. Do you know of any other location?

Yeah, that's why I asked, because the game makes it look like the pharmacist is the only person Twinsen actually murders rather than just knock out

That's a really good point actually...

Now I'm curious to see what else you can point out from the game.

I think the Developers pretended that the player did not have to go back to see the Clones and did not return there. I suppose it will not be that he will have killed him but who knows.

Another macabre detail is that when you complete the game, Twinsen comes out closing the blind and it looks like a wall has the head of an Elephant Clone (in the Spanish translation are Elefoclones, I do not know how they will be called in the American version) as a Trophy. I do not know to what extent they can be considered rational living beings because in some points of the game it is seen that the Clones have emotions.

I am referring to this image:

I guess Twinsen is not the good guy we all thought he was. Although all of this adds an interesting complexity to this character. Honestly the possibility of a bad Twinsen is something I would look forward to.

As members of the MBN, I think most of us remember some things that happen in the LBA series, but I agree with Reek - insanely dark crap!

I remember seeing this, but I never pointed it out to anyone. Normal to forget.

Imagine... A new official rating by the ESRB - and its the worst of the worst. Twinsen is now a serial-killer / psychopath / anything bad, and is destroying everything he can to help Funfrock... Maybe Funfrock is Twinsen's Father.

Nah, I'm kidding.

It looks like Twinsen also broke into Adeline and stole the logo, as well as a bookcase from the library on Principal island, not to mention the desk on the right.

Ahhhh a nice shot of 'that 2001 feel' MBN thread. Good stuff!

I never paid notice to that mounted groboclone head! Nice to still discover new stuff in LBA after all these years.

I've often thought that those police officers on Zeelich in LBA2 who yell "Murderer!" at Twinsen kind of have a point...
