I wouldn't say achievements are very normal on cellphone games. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
And IMO achievements doesn't really fit adventure games anyway so I don't think it would be added.

The only "bug" that has been fixed that I've heard of is the running into wall damage thingy.

The only thing I think achievement's are good for is subtly pointing out hidden things, or bits of the experience you might have missed.
Games these days wayyyyyy over do them by giving you one for every bit of progress though.

² Achievements are being overused nowadays... in some games, it just becomes annoying after a while, where you can achievements like "First step" or "Out of the house" or whatever.
