Dragon Age: Origins has held me inside for days, it's one of the most addictive games i've played. I finnished it today and already started on a new character, each character has a unique starting tale and the decisions you make can make a big impact on what happens throughout the game, its full off great dialgoue and inter-character situations. Its really though-through and I'm hoping for a sequel as soon as possible. I pirated the game but I'm going to buy it and get the add-ons. Right now i think i will wait a few days before playing further on my new character, but I think the replay value will be great, since you can make new decisions and get new tallents to alter the dialouge choises. If you liked Baldurs Gate then your going to love Dragon Age: Origins

Interesting experiment in having a 1D game. Well, theres 1 dimension of graphics stretched verticaly to see more clearly, and movement is still 2d with the second dimension being towards you out of the screen when seen from overhead.....but its still very interesting idea.

Owl statues let you teleport quickly from one place to another to save time, cause you have only few days and then you must use the Song Of Time to to travel in time to the first day.
I think the song of time is to travel in time AND to save.

The Pokemon franchise does have good games, but there are too many Pokemons nowadays if you ask me.

In fact most (mainline) Pokemon games are very good.
But they are too similar even between generations.

That's right, sadly. The greatest improvement was the gold and silver version for the game boy color. I believe it was in 1999. The first well-known game with an in-game watch and a day/night altering. It was soo cool !
There hasn't been much progress since then in the game itself. They added minigames in it and that's all (except the online trading option which is pretty cool in fact).

The Crystal version was pretty cool. It was an improved version of Silver/Gold.
The first tree, Blue, Red and Yellow were the best, imo. They were simple and really playable ![]()

I think most peoples best will be whatever they played first, as that would have had the most newest/interest to them.
After that it will decrease with each version, even if (feature wise) they are suppiour.

Actually I originally played Yellow and liked Red better, I didn't really get the game at first and Pikachu was useless in the first 2 gyms, so it gave me a bad start.
Also when I had Red my friend had Blue, and it was nice to take advantage of the trading feature.

I thought yellow was indentical to red/blue (including tradeing with either of them fine), only you had Pikachu following you and the colour was better handled.

Yeah but you can't make him evolve, and I didn't like the selection of available Pokemons in that version, and that was also before the friend had the game so I had no one to trade with.

Metroid Prime 2 - It crashed again, this time totally at random. I didn't lose anything, but I'm still annoyed.

Chrono Trigger - Unlike most of the seen contributors to this thread, I rarely post here, the reason being is that I rarely play games, and for like the past year or so, I've been playing the game Chrono Trigger, I tend to play like once a week at most, and sometimes doing pauses for a month or more. So I'm glad to announce that I've finally finished Chrono Trigger.
The game is shocking, in many perspectives. First of all the quality is superb, it's rarely that the game designers actually think of everything, but for this old SNES game, the producing team made an amazing job. Other great games for the SNES console are Super Mario, Zelda, Earthbound and others. But Chrono Trigger has got more than them. First of all, by doing a tiny bit of research, you can see that there are multiple (~15) endings, depending on when you decide to fight the final boss, and there are also different characters lines depending on which characters is selected and what quests are done/undone. As can be read between the lines, the game is an RPG with what you would expect from a normal RPG, and there isn't many mistakes to it. The game brilliantly uses time travel (and does so frequently), the fully optional side quests are quite many and they are all plot-strengthening, unlike some games whose side quests basically is to senselessly slaughter 100 extra monsters. As said the game outcome will vary depending on what side-quests has been completed etc. Actually I had no idea games at that time ever where so nonlinear, due to it's enormous amount of different endings etc. and also great overall quality, it's not strange there still are huge fan forums where they still celebrate this game, and I think the actual trade mark name itself is probably worth several thousands. The gameplay and fighting mode is creative, and you can in the very beginning of your game choose if you want time-based attack mode or "responsive" attack mode. There are some minor flaws, but I omit them since they are as said minor. I would like to end this with a music sample, it's the same tune someone else posted in the favorite game music thread. Yearning in the Wind
