Just finished Psychonauts. It's a nice game with some nice levels. Still just an average 3D platformer but if you like those you should give this a try. It's one of the best in it's kind.

Zelda TP ~ finished house in the snow.

My controller's A button stopped to work. It won't come out of the controller again. According to the GameCube manual, I have to clean the controller, using a difficult mechanic with a toothbrush.
Thankfully there are other controllers ready.

I loved the house bit.
Was nice too have a zelda dungoen so intergrated into the landscape.
I hope they do more like that in future.
(that is, more dungeons that are big and complex, yet not dungeons at all )

Well I thought so too. But the manual tells me different:
Quote:
Problem: The controller buttons occasionally stick.
Solution: Clean sticking buttons using the following procedure:
1. Disconnect the controller from the console.
2. Use an unused toothbrush and hot tap water. Do not use boiling water, soap or detergent.
3. Dip the toothbrush in hot water and shake off excess amount. Lightly scrub sticking buttons, working the bristles around sides of buttons and into cracks.
4. Dry controller with soft cloth or towel and let air dry for at least 2 hours.
5. Test buttons and repeat procedure if necessary.
Oh well...

The controller seems to be totally smashed. Continuing with another controller now.

Zelda ~ Spoiler:
Entered Temple of Time. Lol @ the get-out-of-the-dungeon-creature running past me inside.

LBA 1 ~ currently replaying (have to check that trick with the magic flute ) After getting an entire 200 Kashes out of the Temple of Bu (by doing all optional areas), I ran out of money for the hairdryer. Wasn't easy to get that many back.

Metroid Prime is annoying the hell out of me. Effing lava in the Magmoor Caves keeps killing me, plus I can't figure out where the heck I'm supposed to go. Still, can't stop playing it. The atmosphere is great, especially with that awesome music, and the controls are tricky to get the hang of but work well enough.

What a shitty game. Seriously. This game has everything a game needs to have in order to be BORING.
List of some of the main boring aspects in this game:
1. Wasteland. Not everyone can be Fallout. Wasteland is BORING.
2. Yay, I completed a mission! Now I return to get my reward, ask for a new mission, and TADA! I get the exact same mission all over again. Yay, now I can recomplete it and get the same reward again... What were they thinking??
3. I played the game like, for hours, and I *still* don't know what "stalkers" are. I also don't know wtf is going on that stupid wasteland. They just didn't bother explaining. But of course I still get to kill some people who are shooting me for some weird reason. Blah.
4. No female characters. I mean, come on... I can't think of one non-boring game that has absolutely no female characters. It's just stupid.

Ok, that's all I can think of at the moment. And I'll never play that game again...

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has a nice concept and is (was) quite ambitious, but the gameplay sucks. It's impossible to sneak in the game, which is my favourite gameplay style, and friendlies keep dying way too fast, which is annoying if they're part of a mission. You have to act like a rambo and shoot all the bad guys before your team mates get hurt. Bah.

ChaosFish: Stalkers are the dudes who went to the Tchernobyl area to make a fortune by collecting and selling "artifacts", many are unwillingly trapped in the area now because the army closed it off.

Gotten started on Conquest of the Longbow yesterday; neat Sierra adventure where you play Robin Hood. Graphics and music are excellent, but so far the game is too linear, not to mention blindly wandering around looking for something to do isn't my idea of fun.

Also finally gotten through the first day in court on Phoenix Wright's 5th chapter. I'd lost track of the happenings up till now so badly I had to resort to a walkthrough.

LBA 1 ~ completed again. It's sad that so few games catch up with this feeling of satisfaction after completing it. The music does a good part of it.

Well, basically, that's why we're all around here.

Yeah. I always found it cool that such a simple common interest attracts a particular kind of people. (maybe I'm not very objective, but I think the MBN is different from most communities)

I think the MBN is kinda like a "mop" for a particular, yet, diverse type of gamer.
Not many games as "non famous" as LBA have such an active and big online community.

Hard to say why really.

I think it's because of the sign of Sendell. Its supernatural properties brought all of us here.

Definitely.

Been playing some Jazz Jackrabbit 2 online again. Still pretty fun to do when you're bored for a minute. Also playing a little Guild Wars again. They added a hard mode so yay!

Jazz Jackrabbit is a good game indeed! The project leader brought arcade further I think.
