Unhappy LBA1 - door wont open!!!
I'm at the fortress in principle island. I'm trying to get the plans for the teleportation centre. I've just killed the nurse grobo and got the key for the door into the fortress. I use the key on the door and i hear the door opening but it doesnt actually open! WHATS GOING ON AAAAAAAAArgh!!!!

Please help

When trying to get into FunFrock's fortress on Principal Island, sometimes the doors leading into the fortress don't open, even though you hear the sound and the key icon shows above Twinsen's head. If this happens, there are a number of things you can try: 1. go into zoom mode (F5) and then back to normal view (thanks to FenikS for that hint), 2. read the Book of Bù, and when you return to the game they should open (thanks to Leviat on the MBN forums for that) or 3. just wait around for a while!

like i sent to that site ages ago.. read the book of bu and it'll open instantly

you cna skip it, you don't have to hear the dialogue or wait for the text to finish.. just keep pressing the button till you're back in the game and you'll see it open

well actualy anything that get's the focus of the door for a few seconds is enough ... running around a bit also works sometimes

but reading the book is Oh-So-Much quicker...

i ran around once all over the place and it still never opened... even left it running for a few mins and nothing

only worked with the book reading

READ THE BOOK!

Before I knew other methods I always ran around a while as well. Or made sure I left some enemies alive before entering the door and then beating up the last guards.

You can also press "H" and then leave the holomap.
