As an avid fan of lba i'd be <gladly> willing to help you guys with your project. I know the following:

-Python 2.0
-Zope 2.3
-Visual Basic
-Html

I also know:

-3dmax r2.5
-Photoshop 6
-Flash 4/5

If you guys just need some monotonous work done, I can do that as well (of course!).

you won't be able to make maps with 3DSMAX, I'm using Qoole right now (when I'm using it... )

hehe the first time the signiature was unaligned so i modified it a bit...

thanks for the offer, im getting Max R4 now. Is it better? I've only used 2.5 and 3.

so the models should be done in max..?

are we going to have the giraffe looking characters from the zeelich spaceport?

Well, I guess the more models, the better. The models can initially be made in 3DS Max but they need to be converted to MDL for Half-Life. They also need animating. That requires Character Studio for 3DS MAX. Also Webseed mentioned something call "Milkshape". I don't know much about Half-life character modelling. Go to Planet Half-Life, there are tutorials taking you through the entire process there.

The 3D MAX R4 Magma that you are getting Mirage is a beta and could have bugs. I have it too and it has run OK so far, but there are no extra features in it that would help in the creation of a simple low-poly character.

If you want to make maps you can dowload Worldcraft, or Qoole and make them.

I haven't used it but it's just a plugin for MAX so the interface will be familiar if you can use MAX.

I'm going to read that tutorial aswell so then at least I know how to make and animate a model for Half-Life awell.

Yeah, well I RAN (once never again) R4 on my P233 64MB and it was about 15x slower than R3.
