maybe, but there really hasn't been that many successful adventure games in recent years (especially not in comparison to other types of games), so i would think they'd have to actually be very attracted to the game in order to want to publish it.

Plus, the sequal adventure games that have been successful (monkey island, discworld noir, alone in the dark, etc), have pretty much all been of a higher pedigree than LBA3 would be. LBA1 & LBA2 were successful, but i don't think successful enough to warrant a new publishing deal based almost completely on their existance.

Oh, and i think they would want sketches, considering that they're going to be pushing money into this project, they're going to need to be sure that their money is safe.

Your getting Point and Click mixed up with Adventure.
There isn't many adventure games period, but those that do come sale ok.
Metroid Prime looks like it may be successfull "adventure" game. (according to IGN its not a FPS). And of course, Wand of the Wind (the new Zelda), will sale great.

Point and Click games are games primaryly to do with mixing items, using one item with another.

Adventure can be applied to everything really, but "pure" adventure games are rare.
I suppose I consider adventure games ones that are do to with the charecer interacting with the enviroment to reach a goal.
Its more to do with puzzle solving, and exploring then fighting.
As such, Zelda, LBA, Dark Earth, Mercenary,Domoculas...

monkey island is an adventure within the story, not the game...

Would it help if we, the MBN, try to get the word out to various publishers about LBA3? I mean, I don't know how difficult it is to grab the ear of someone in the business, but even if we can't do it, we might be able to find someone who can.

Or... do we need to leave it up to Fred to establish a publisher?
