I dont know much about birds, I think I vaguely heard some beaks have magnets in. Or is that a urban myth?
If not, I'll go for that. My sense of direction is terrible. Having a "nose" for north would help me a lot.

I think you should've included pictures for every type of beak, that way the choice would be easier. Right now I would have to go duckduckgo each type of beak as my attempts to visualizing these have not yielded any clear results. My knowledge of beaks seem to be worse than I had thought.

You're absolutely right, I edited the first post for those of us who lack common beak knowledge.

I'm no biologist, so I can't tell about the specific functions of every single beak, but I really like penguins

So I choose the penguins one, just because of the look

Darkflame, you are probably right about the sense of magnetism located in the beak (and as well in the bird's eyes). The german wikipedia speaks of "several kinds", especially migratory birds with an verified sense of magnetism. I'm sorry for no adequate english wiki link, but the english one is huge and I can't find the text passage in a rush
If you are interested, I will translate the short passage

I picked crows/ravens because they seem to manage to do a lot of stuff with their beaks and I'd want my beak to be useful.

Sounds as though some birds are thought to use magnetism, but it is not necessarily in their beaks.

For further depth in the common beak knowledge here is chart of their different functions:

Personally my choice is the beak of the Snowy Egret, simply because... it's so classy.

We should be able to pick whatever beak we want, but society can be so judgmental about the type of beak you have.
