If you know any games which resemble LBA in some way, or if you know a game that "if you liked LBA, you'll probably like this too",

Indeed, LBA is one of a kind.

this, as well as the fact that I hardly know any games at all

I can't really think of any games that much like LBA, I find it very unique. Although not enough people have played Grim Fandango in my opinion, so I'll say that as it is an adventure game too and is utterly brilliant.

Beyond Good and Evil,
Zelda,
Dark Earth,

BG&E is probably the closiest, then the Zelda games.
Dark Earth is about half way between LBA and Alone in the Dark.

Alone in the dark is very close. Time commando too.

sgk: Think of it this way: it's like a message in a bottle. In our world, we put a message inside a bottle to protect it while it travels through the oceans to reach some other island. In other worlds, they put a message inside an asteroid to protect it while it travels through space to reach some other planet. In this case it is a gift, a guitar, rather than just a message.
