Wow Kobold you're the first one I've seen with Croc on his PC
It's a wonderful game isn't it?

Croc is surely great, and I also played it in about the time I played LBA 2, and still today.

Kobold, you're resolution is tiny for modern age. Get a new monitor!

I don't have an LCD, I could easily set up a higher resolution. Point is, my eyes are bad, so I wouldn't be able to read the tiny text.

I reinstalled Ubuntu, this time I have a virtual machine on my drive, which was quite easy to install.

The start up is fast too (for the virtual machine) (way faster than I'm used too).

Virtual machines are optimised somehow specifically to boot windows fast. I'm guessing its the minimal drivers they use. Or maybe some data prefetch, as Windows boot is mostly HDD strain.

How do you make those DOSBox shortcuts?
I always mount again etc.

In the advanced options to create a shortcut, you have to enter the code that's executed on startup. So for my Rayman shortcut, I used this code:
Code:
~~~\DOSBox\dosbox.exe -conf "~~~\DOSBox\dosbox.conf" -c "keyb gr" -c "mount d D:\ -t cdrom -label RAYMAN -ioctl -usecd 0" -c "mount c E:\Rayman" -c "C:" -c "rayman" -c "exit"
So in general, -c "<command here>" will do the mounting for you. "Keyb gr" can be left out, it's switching to the German keyboard for me.
Ok, thanks!
Assassin probably just a shortcut to a folder with a fancy icon (amirite?)
graphics 9/10
The graphics are awesome but there is no Anti-Aliasing so that takes a point off.
originality 5/10
Its basically a mix between: The Matrix, Max Payne, Total Overdose and Tony Hawks Pro Skater series.
gameplay 8/10
its great, but a little too hard, tho thats not why its and 8, thats because the camera is too fucking close to you which makes the playing fucking annoying also the fact that you cant just stand on objects but always have to slide over them, thats annoying.
story 6/10
Just another action game about a cop out for revenge, more casualties then in WW2 and billions of dollars worth of property damage that no one gives a shit about
Overall 9/10
Its still pretty awesome but they should add a fucking camera scrolling feature, so I don't have a close up of the main characters ass the whole time I play.
