Talking Duke Nukem Forever new trailer!

I can't believe it!

A complete new teaser trailer for Duke Nukem Forever!!

http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=cWuteFLUPSY

Maybe this time the game finally will be released!

I'm glad to see that are companies still working on forgotten classics, I don't care what kind of classics the games are. Adventure, RTS, RPG or the most simple action-shooter you could find back on the '90s, like Duke Nukem 3D!

First StarCraft II
Later Duke Nukem Forever
And then...
... Little Big Adventure 3!

THE TIME IS NEAR!

According to Uncyclopedia, Duke Nukem Forever is due to be released in The End of Time, but will instead be delayed for one year.

DNF never had a release date, and it was first announced in 1997

LOL. But this time the video trailer is less ambitious than '98 and 2001 videos.

That could be a signal of change. I mean probably will be released at last

Yeah saw it yesterday, nice to see but I don't bother to make a big deal about Duke news, it doesn't really change the current (shitty) situation.

The situation isn't shitty. I've met the peeps working on the game and they're saying that they're doing just fine. They're tired of people constantly asking them questions about when the game's gonna come out like it's the most important thing in the world.

When it's 12 years it's already a very important factor.
It's a disgrace to stretch a game's development over 12 years, disgrace to them and not anybody else.
Disgrace might be a harsh word but that's the situation, a bunch of people that can't release a game in less than a decade, in the professional aspect it doesn't look good at all.

Their HQ is in Dallas, I believe. Something like 20 minutes away from where I live.

I should rephrase myself. I didn't meet the people personally. They gave speeches at my school and such, when I used to attend it.

as I said on an other forum:

Pet projects can take a long time to be completed. DNF is a pet project.

We'll see when DNF finally gets released if 3drealms ****ed up, then again, we don't know the state the previous DNF incarnations were in. So it's difficult to determine if they wasted their effort.

ps, you can look at the 12 years development like this: 2 years development on DNF1 (->canceled), 3 years of development on DNF2 (->canceled), 3 years of developments on DNF3 (->canceled), and finally 4 years of development on DNF4. There are quite some projects that were canned after quite some years of development.

pps, Prey saw 4 incarnations (development started right after ROTT was finished) (the 4 versions: Tom Hall, Paul Schuytema, Corrinne Yu, and finally Human Head (took them 5 years to complete it)), Max Payne's development started in 1995'ish (I have a preview and release estimate set in mid 1997 in a respectable game magazine). And there is of course Too Human which was set to be released for the first Play Station in 1999 (development of that game started somewhere in 1995-1996, around the same time as DNF started). An other example would be Team Fortress 2, which went into production in 1998. The game battle cruiser 3000AD took 7 years until the publisher decided to crank out a buggy version of the game which required 2 more years of attention to become playable. Yes, some examples where a commercial failure, but quite some were quite a success.

So a company that has 3 games that they started over several times, that doesn't look like a serious company.

Sure they were great once upon a time, but now it's just not looking good, no matter the reason they started over.

What does it matter if they look like a serious company or not? It's not like you own some mega corporation and someone asked you to buy 3DRealms.

3drealms is apogee, they have been around for quite some time, also 3drealms is involved with a lot of other games (like Max Payne and Prey).

Just because it took a creative team a couple of tries to produce their new piece of art doesn't make the team any less serious.
