So what did you do exactly with the HDR tests, Mouzers?
By the way, your photo's are awesome. Are you sure your horizons are horizontal though?

what do you mean?
also they're not, since my tripod is very flimsy, thus unstable.

I've read about HDR photo's. And I think I understood that it has to do with multiple photo's with different ways of lightning. Correct?
So that's the question: what did you do to achieve the results of your photo?

About the horizons. Yes, they are not horizontal. It wasn't really a question, I just noticed so I thought you'd like to know in case you didn't see.

oh that, you take pictures with different exposures(OEV), and then use specialized programs(i used Photomatix Pro) that merge the pictures, then you tonemap them to look like what you want.

also i figured ;]

HDR is fine - but I figure if you can't get the light the way you want it you should try again another day.

it would have too dark, hard to tell one picture from another :C
unless of course you use a 30 second exposure per picture

that is outside an abusive camp of rroms... they throw away all garbage just outside their camp. The first thing that bounced to my eyes was this boot, becouse i thought that real poor people would even wear a pair of boots, even if old, if they had nothing better. But then i reminded these people actually aren't poor, they own cars, and they have decoders and antennas inside their abusive houses, even if they legally don't exist.

*reads homeless's post*
ah, now i understood CF's joke :P

Some photographs here make me want to move to Europe (like TAM's), and some make me think that if I lived there I'd commit suicide (like Mouserz's).
