Yay, but why haven't you played it when it came out?
It was nothing but The Longest Journey and Grim Fandango back then.

Because I didn't even know about it before reading about it in the forum. And in 1999 I had Windows 98 with 64 RAM and 10 GBs hard drive, which is probably not enough for this game.

I ran it originally on WinME (ugh) with 64MB RAM, and I chose the medium installation, which surely isn't anywhere near 10GB.
There's also the CPU/GPU factors...I had a 1Ghz Athlon and a 64MB nVidia TNT2.

(didn't want to post in the spoiler infested thread, which I tried hard not to read)
I've started playing Dreamfall. It's nice, the graphics are really nice, the interface is perfect for me so I don't know what bothered El so much. The only thing that really bothered me is the voice acting, I mean, firstly Zoe is soooooo ish if you know what I mean And she seems a bit dumb.
Secondly it's like the voice actors are deliberately being apathetic, which is depressing.
Other than that, it's a really nice game and I don't have much complaints.
The voice acting depressed me a bit so I stopped for a while...

I'm almost certain this very conversation has taken place before on the MBN. About this very game!

LOL .

Well, I finished the game last week (yeah, took me some time...), and it was really beautiful. As soon as I have a computer that can support it, I'm buying Dreamfall (which will probably be in like, 2010, but whatever...).

I played Atomic Bomberman with the boyfriend of my sister. It was really fun to play that game again after a few years (Before we played ABomber, we played some arcade machine games such as Gauntlet II)

Finished Diablo 1 + 2 not too long ago. I started on the Diablo 2 expansion pack but got bored with the game halfway through that. Also finished Giants Citizen Kabuto not too long ago. Right now playing Tetris DS and Animal Crossing Wild World.

Worms DS ~ Dont, just dont get this game. Its crap all over. Bad AI, Bad graphics, and nothing at all added over standard worms gameplay...just lots taken away. No attempt whatsoever to use the DS's hardware. (why do I aim missles with the D pad?).
Worms GBA was better. a lot better.
The AI particularly in DS just stinks. It freakly beams itself over water, walks of the edge of the landscape, or just fails to kill you if your standing right next to it on a cliff edge.

Such a huge wasted potential, as the DS could have had such a nice version of worms. (touchscreen based new weapons, drawing your own landscape, recording your own voice samples, online, ect).

My flatmate bought WormsDS and then took it back the next day.
Its that bad.

Bomberman DS, however, is excelent. Its just pure bomberman fun, with the added (optional) stupidity of shouting "BOOM!!" into the DS to make the bombs go off.

I've just re-discovered my Lemmings disk.
Ohhh.... the nostalgia....

The little critters are so cute... and the music reminds me of my sister making up weird dances to it as I watched my Dad play...

Ah Lemmings - how many years of my life did I waste on your fiendish puzzles....especially Lemmings 2 when you had 1 mission to do with 2 lemmings and the only way to get more would be to go back 5!!!

It wasn't exactly like playing the standard versions because it was 3D. It didn't only have a 3rd person view but also had an added 3rd dimension in the puzzles.
I think it was too difficult for me when I tried to play it

Hmmm recent game reviews:

LostMagic - A nice idea but the controls are clunky, the story is slow and it's simply no fun - went back within 3 days

Phoenix Wright - the most linear game you'll ever play but yet amazingly gripping. Brilliant scripting and highly entertaining. Plus a bonus episode when you think it's all over. Absolute MUST own

Tetris DS - A classic reworked. The modes are satisfying but the standard mose seems to end at 200 lines (lev 20) which is odd. The online modes are ace though!

Metroid Prime Hunters - Excellent use of the touch screen and some beautiful graphics. I am still not a huge fan of Metroid but this is pretty good. Online mode is good, especially with VOIP against friends however the big flaw is that you can just go into ball mode and annihilate the opposition....Some big problems in the multiplayer but definitely worth owning

Phoenix Wright was on my list...

How long is it? Can you really shout "Objection!"?

It's supposed to be one of the good new adventure games.
