And yes, since you put your code into opensource, then why don't you make it compatible even with Delphi 6. When I open it with Delphi 6, I receive plenty of error messages.

Because I don't use Delphi 6. In Delphi 6 There are no for example such thing as Action Manager, which is necessary to make XP style menus. So making it compatible with Delphi 6 is not possible with keeping all functions of the programme the same. It is my thought. I didn't try compiling it with Delphi 6, so I can't say for sure the problem is there.
And you can download Delphi 7 Personal for free from Borland's site, so I can't understand where is your problem. ![]()

Oh...
You can use a download manager (FlashGet, etc.). Yes, it will take a month to download, but it is better than nothing...

Kakadudu: I would suggest that you remove that thing to check, if the last offset specifies file size. There may be third-party (OEM) versions of both games, that would have files with a wrong last offset, but that's not a reason to not open it.

That's great!
And with the second thing: I don't think so... but I can do it like for vox files: if the last offset is wrong, a question will pop up.

Well... I heard about some third-party version with last-offset errors in RESS.HQR, so there would be the problem. It seems that the file itself in those versions is OK, only it has a wrong last offset. Got it?

So it's like with vox files transferred to disk by LBAWin: some data is added without changing anything else in the file (or last offset is changed without changing the rest of the file). I uderstand it
![]() So question to open the file anyway would be suitable? Or the programme should open such file without any messages?

![]() Why not put an check box to active if we want or not the popup question? btw Zink, the LBA2 Ress.hqr have an error in the "Game Over model (*.l3d)" descriptions and in the extension. The content of entrie 9 is in the entrie 8. It's just to change the extension for the below entrie (8). I'll send the file description we the correct one.

I think that .LSC is not a good idea, since that here we have 3 types of scenes: LBA 1 isometric, LBA 2 isometric, and LBA 2 for outside (real 3-D). I would suggest: LS1 = LBA 1 isometric, LS2 = LBA 2 isometric, and LS3 = LBA 2 for outside. What do you think?

Lba 1 and 2 isometric can have the same format, and Lba2 3D... I don't think there are such scene files, but I don't know. If there really are two or more types of scenes, they can all have one extension if there is a way to distinguish them (like lbt files).

- kakadudu: the scenes of LBA 1 and 2 are in a different format. I once exchanged between them, and both games crashed. And yes, there are files with scene information for the LBA 2 3-D (outside) scenes, but they are probably in the same format, as the scenes for the isometric locations.
- Bhish: here we are talking about the files with character information (body/action/anims), and other detailed information, and not the texture/height files files, and files with 3-D models (which are the .ILE and .OBL files you mentioned; you ARE telling the TRUTH). So, don't mix the two things up. ![]()

Request:
Zink, can you make an option for Configurations tool, that when we open an Image using the Tool program he will automatically send for the program the pal (if next entrie)? LBA Screen Viewer works now with Configuration Tool, but he just open the image without the palette. It's possible to do? or we can do it adding some parameter to the image editor thing?

The command "Extract to temp directory" was meant to make such things easier: you open a lim with a tool, then you extract the appropriate pal file to temp directory, and load it in the image program (which should have the same default directory as the one where that image was).
But now I have better idea (or at least I think it's better). I will make an option to open two or more entries (that will be selected at the moment) with one tool, so the tool will have to handle two files given by the command-line parameters. You can do the files handling just like the one file (as I told you by ParamCount and ParamStr functions), but you have to check if there was more than one file given (ParamCount = 2), and get them with ParamStr(1) and ParamStr(2). Then you have to determine which one of them is the image and which is the palette by their extensions.
