I've chosen blind. Being mute still doesn't prevent you from writing. You'd ever know what consequences it'd be if you're blind.

My life concentrates on 2 main things: computers and music. For that you need eyesight and hearing.

On the other hand, I hardly talk at all.

So, for me, the answer is quite obvious.

Artificial eyes though, are still at 32*32 resolution or something horrible.
And i dont think we have any artificial ears yet!

With hearing and sight you can still chat, game, watch movies, know what's going on far more easily.
Mute is only a problem when communicating and if you just got a notebook or an artificial voice thing it's pretty wel solved I think. especially compared to deafness and blindness.

While my voice is critical to wooing the ladies, I agree, you're eyes are one of your most precious assets. And the same for ears.

I would rather find some other way to communicate as opposed to not being able to hear or see.

Anyways... I'd choose being Mute, as I listen to music a lot, and I play an instrument... (not sure if I could do that being mute, but whatever...) and there's no way I could live without reading or gaming.

Not quite, its hard for them to speak, but some do learn....its not impossible for the determained.
They are taught by having people move their mouths for them, so they slowly learn the shapes of the phonemes.

on TV I've seen a ~90yo person that was deaf from birth and blind from 2years of age who talked.
