Ubisoft Montpellier, which Fred works with is known to be currently developing Rayman, Tintin, and BGE2 (Presumed). But there are also projects that it has not announced that are in development from what I gather. If Fred was working on Rayman, or Tintin, then he could announce it. If he is working on BGE2 or another unannounced game, then he can't.

I think it will be another small game like Soul Bubbles, it would explain Ubisoft not announcing it at E3. Although LBA isn't exactly super popular so would they bother announcing it at all? If it isn't LBA3 (which I expect) then hopefully if Fred makes enough successful games at Ubisoft he will be able to convince them to put a team together to create LBA3 sometime in the next 10 years.

Your taking the appearance of the slate too literall. So the new one has a whole? Means jack shit. The whole slate is different, what's different about it? It's about 10 times better graphics wise. It would make perfect sense for the new game to be LBA 3, doesn't mean it is though. And when I say perfect, I mean perfect. Let's assume it is LBA 3, for arguments sake. He had to choose an item which could represent LBA, but not necceserily does. For example, if it was a magic ball instead of a slate, we would all be thinking LBA 3, no doubt. But with it being the slate, that gives hints towards LBA 3 but doesn't give the whole game away, it still might not be. Another reason for this being LBA 3 is that it symbolises much better graphics. He's taken a simple prop from LBA, previously with shitty graphics, and dramatically improved the graphics. The slate says for me "It's back, new and improved!"

Then again, it could just be a stock image used, which just so happens to be a slate, as you write on it, and fred needed to write something, and paper is too boring..?
