In other worlds, they put a message inside an asteroid to protect it while it travels through space to reach some other planet. In this case it is a gift, a guitar, rather than just a message.

I think I probably do too.
Portal was revolutionary in all sorts of ways....but the sequel is not only a better length but also a much better story too, imho.
The 1st was a more influential/important game, but I think the second was a better game.
Much how I feel about Ocarina of Time vs Twilight Princess too.

Ideally, we should get memory-wipes between all the games we play so we can judge them individually rather then "as our first experience of X".

Also, zero-punctuation is very funny, but its humor first, accurate reviews a decent second.

For the games I know, I find his reviews accurate... I disagree with what he said about portal 2 in one point though... The multiplayer is way too simple, true we have 4 portals, but all the levels are built like this : put two portals in the level and thus make the situation the same as a singleplayer one, then solve the puzzle as a singleplayer one.
Having a friend play with you is fun, but the puzzle aren't very interesting (imo).

yeah, portal 1 is more like a demo than a proper game. i was amazed at the developments in portal 2, both plot and gameplay wise.

How many seconds did it take you to finish a minesweep at expert mode?
My fastest time so far has been 148 seconds (Win XP version).

Portal wasn't intended to be a game series, it was just a mod for the Half-life (they were testing the half-life engine when they created Portal 1), so it was a big surprise when it became such huge success (that's the reason why it feels like it is a demo, not a full game).

What is the secret to it?
I've never got how to play it or where the fun is.
I know there's somehting like numbers which tell you how many mines surround it but... that's all. Either way, I'm still perplex you enjoy such a game.

I'm not a pro on minesweeper (far from that), but something that everyone needs to know if they want to play that game is that the number shown on certain blocks indicates how many mines are around that block. For example, if I click on a block and there is a number 3 on it, there are 3 mines around that block. If there are (X) empty spaces on the sides of that block (spaces with no numbers), then the 3 mines will be located somewhere in rest of the blocks (8 Blocks surrounding the one I clicked - X empty spaces)

Also important about minesweeper, there are a huge amount of recurring "patterns" to it.

For instance, if there is an open area of cells adjacent to a straight line of blocks, and somewhere in the middle of that line it says 1-2-1, it ALWAYS means the blocks adjacent to both those 1s are bombs. The recognisable patterns come in various complexities, and the more patterns you recognise, the faster you can complete the game.
