Mighty No. 9

Hello guys,

I have not posted in quite sometime, but today I have come back with a request of you all.

Recently, Keiji Inafune has announced his desire to create a game mostly based on fan input, using a Mega Man-Esq template. It's a Kickstart campaign and is entirely volunteer.

Here is a link:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...o-9?ref=search

Please take the time to review this information and make a choice to help out with this monumental movement or to pass it up.

I think the fact that they raised 700K/900K in ONE day speaks for itself!

Thanks for your time,
TheRealBlues

Surely theres enough "mega-man like" games already

I mean, I like megaman...but leaving a company and creating basically the same thing seems a bit....odd

Sorry, don't mean to be a downer....just don't really get it...I would have thought after so many games he would want to make something else

I understand your hesitation. But this project represents a bit more than that.

For awhile Keiji Inafune has been struggling to put the gaming industry back into the hands of fans. Other third-party developers have screwed fans over countless times by failing to uphold their promises. It's about the money, not the love.

This is a reference to Mega Man; Keiji's creation whom he loves dearly, being given to the fans in a new form. Yes; it's a Mega Man game with many homages to that series, but because of the drive to involve fans it can be so much more than just that. That is why this is important.

Again, thanks for at least considering a donation. If you check the Kickstarter, they've almost reached the first goal in a single day!!

Well, good for them!

But, did he think the way the official series was going wasn't very good then?
I haven't followed it recently...last I knew they had a Retro-esq Megaman (10?) released in the style of the NES games.
