I came here in peace and was attacked by a few people, Kitarii. This place is alright, it should just better moderate, what people can and can not say. Axx and Double J have accused me of being sock of an existing member here which is absolutely false. And they also doubt that I am really a Muslim plus requested to banish me from here which is forbidden according to the rules.

I am a great fan of LBA games and I thought I could contribute a lot (I even had a big surprise for this forum, waiting to be released) but I can not if people are allowed to insult and accuse me on a whim.

- Axx: Please, cut us all some slack, and shut up. If there's anyone, that should be Banned from this forum, is you. Face it, the only reason, why you're still a member here, is because you have private contact with Frédérick Raynal. Believe me, if you didn't, you'd have been Banned from this forum the moment you started with one of your "Israel is illegal, let's destroy it" threads here.

"A7alae", this thread is not the place to start any discussion of this nature, so at this point, regardless of other members previous behaviour, it is you that is out of order. I'm not going to delete any posts at this point, but please do not continue making these irrelevant posts either here or elsewhere inappropriate, or you will find yourself bounced from the forum, as some people have requested.

Kitarii, you are right my friend, I should not attack people that way. Peace?

By the way, how can I unlock the Well of Sendell in LBA2? My copy has SENDELL. files but I can not access it from inside the game. Any idea why not?

I guess you can't upload those files anywhere can you? Some modders would probably like to look into them.

I'm so glad my thread is still here!

It has been years since I've played LBA2. Unfortunately, once I reloaded LBA2 onto my new computer the Wizard Bug surfaced again! But luckily, since this thread still exists, I have access to the file that fixed it. Thanks again, Kobold, for posting the proper SCENE.HQR file for it to work. It still works even today!

This bug, and a few others (such as the car steering bug) are actually aused by FunnyFrog's patch injecting code into a seemingly unused area of the executable file, that is, however referenced by the game code at some points.
I wonder if the patch is even still need anymore, because:
1. Some cards such as my Radeon HD 5450 can play the game fine without the patch.
2. There's DXWnd too.
3. There's always the possibility of using DOSBox or a virtual machine.

@ Battler

I actually have not had luck with skipping my particular bug with DOSBox. It is still present, even in DOSBox. It was only fixable by replacing the HQR file, which I would assume controls sequences that trigger specific scenes.

Really? I've had it every single time (except once).

Never from the original disc (with or w/o the patch) or from gog. I've just never ran into it. Which is weird since it seems like everyone else has. And I've played/beaten this game more times than I can count so it's not like I haven't played it enough to just not run into it.

I've never had this problem running LBA 2 natively on Windows 95 or with FunnyFrog's patch. I have yet to complete it in DosBox though.

I played it in Win98SE from my CD without even the knowledge of a patch or MBN. Yet, I've almost always found that bug. Maybe it's because I have Twinsen's Odyssey instead of LBA2?

That means it's not coming from Funnyfrog's patch then ?

That's what I think, since I've had it almost every single time without applying the patch. I still have to test it with the GOG version and the SCENE file uploaded on the first page.

I have never experienced this bug, though I have played LBA2 about 10 times on different computers and systems (and patches).

TheRealBlues, or anyone who has this bug almost every time, can you post here or send me ( [email address] ) your SCENE.HQR file, that is buggy? I would like too compare it to the better version.

I Never experienced this bug aswell. I played the Original CD Version and the GoG version, and both worked perfectly for me...

And, Necdilizor, What did you mean with "I have Twinsen's Odyssey instead of LBA2?"?
Does the North America version differ on something about the LBA2 version? Have they patched or added something that made the bug happen?

I don't think Twinsens Odyssey varies in terms of patches etc from LBA2, just the name is different. Because I have Twinsens Odyssey as well and never had an issue with this.

I'd like to be able to test it with my disc but can't due to losing the disc during my multiple moves.

After all of these different stories, I think the problem with this bug lies not in the disc or version of the game, or any patches installed, but it must be the native game running on a machine with some weird conflicting hardware configuration or something...
