21 grams was lovely

I've just gone to the kill bill marathon; both movies were shown after each other... and I have to be honest: I like volume 2 far better than volume 1 I'm no action junky but I dig swords, but i also like drama, and volume 2 had a better mix of both imho

Twinsun Movies

I saw Independence Day today, and many end of the world movies since that movie had failed in the box office like Titan AE and The Core.

Titan AE is a 1000 times better then Independence IMO

As for the Core...well...lets just say it made the "Mac-virus-Friendly" alien computers in ID look pluasiable

In other worlds, they put a message inside an asteroid to protect it while it travels through space to reach some other planet. In this case it is a gift, a guitar, rather than just a message.

I saw Kill Bill 1 today... sword porn; yes. Weird? Yes. Entertaining? I suppose.

Uma Thurman has a great arse. Lucy Liu is nice. Juley Drefus is quite nice too.

I dunno, it wasn't a BAD film, but I've seen much better.

No kidding

Yesterday I watched Lagaan. What can I say, a Bollywoodian historical "epic" haha, complete with dance sequences and awkward moments.
Don't laugh now, it's about this poor village in India in the 1800s that have a wager with an English colonist: beat the English at a game of cricket, and their taxes (the lagaan) are cancelled for the next 3 years. Lose, and the taxes are tripled (which would basically kill them).
Very entertaining stuff, lol, i was most amazed by the fact that they actually got an English actress to do a song sequence (complete with a silk red dress and a rose) lol.

Brought back tender memories of my Air India flight to France last year *tear*

Kill Bill achieve all the criteria Tarantino wanted to fulfill, and it doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. In that aspect is it almost flawless. This movie will probably get another dimension together with the sequel. I'd rate it 7/10.

Yes! Some different music too, I'm skeptical about that.

I just saw Van Helsing in the cinema and i must say i enjoyed every second off it.
From the trailers and publicity it looked crap, i only went to see it because others in my animation group were going.
It really was brillent.
It was stupid, silly, completely over the top...but in a good way.
And no point did it ever pretend to be anything it wasnt. This was an imagative action flic, pure and simply.
The story was nice, very original, it was funny in many places, excelent music too.
The direction was superb too, always suppriseing.

It felt a bit like i was watching Indiana Jones for the first time.

This is a black/white good and evil, the charecters are simplistic...but when your watching it you dont care!
Theres amazing co-incidence's happening every few seconds, but you dont care.

This film, is, quite simply, fun.

I would recomend everyone to watch it at the cinema asap.

The only small problem i had with the whole film was right at the end...kinda of a cliché and corny special effect.
But overall, it was the best case of being wrong about a film i ever had

Ah, that was probably one of those pseudo-intellectuals that think they're superior to you because they don't watch films that don't try to question the meaning of life. They're obviously too good for a movie that has the purpose of entertaining. I'd advise you to watch it and have your opinion. As far as I can tell, the quality of a movie is very relative to the preferences of the one watching it.
