Yeah, that's clearly a mental statement... Why the heck would I redo somehting that was already done...? The goal is to make the game using modern graphics, wich needs complex texturing, eye candy and stuff, to make it as modern as possible...

Did you work out the holomap yet?
Because I draw the texture you posted on a standard sphere (shame on me ) and it seems not to be perfect as a sphere texture. You see the edges.
