A sad thing

I once lent my LBA2 to a friend, but when he gave it back he was nowhere in the game and it came out that he had used the ferry bug cos he didn't read the text, so now the game doesn't make sense to him.

Any other LBA1/2 sad, sad, sad stories?

Yes. All of us (me and lbawo) did. But since i was a child i didnt care about the esmers being already there. So i figured out the esmers were already there since a lot of time, but only in disguise. (cactus and such), or hidden ready to ambush people.

I found the ferry bug on my first try but had to start again because my game kept crashing when i tried to get back to Citadel Island Only found out how to stop it from crashing by mashing the exit button one day.

A sad LBA story:
I first saw LBA at a friend's house, who bought a computer full of games. One day we bought a new game (Kick Off 97 if I recall correctly ), and wanted to play it on his computer (I didn't even have a CD drive then ) . We had no idea that you first need to install the game and then run it through the hard disk, so we tried running some executable file on the CD using DOS. Then we got a message that the game can't be run due to not enough memory. We thought that it means "hard disk space" (I actually didn't understand the difference until I was like 16 ), so he told me "OK, let's just delete LBA, it takes lots of memory".

And he did .

I think he made a copy though

Hmm, we should do a poll about that... I never knew the ferry bug existed until joining the MBN.

A sad story... uh... my brother lent our LBA1 CD to a friend and when he gave it back, it was in the wrong case (he'd lost the real case somehow). Gosh that's sad.

I have a sad story
It was the 2nd time i tried to play LBA through
But when i was at the tralu's cave it made a crackling noise and the music stopped
Whe i opened my CD-drive i saw that the LBA2-CD exploded in it
Lucky that a few friend had got a LBA 2 CD and gave it to me when he heard from the accident

By the way: it took some time to repair the Drive because the Platine Got out of the screws -.-
