I didn't want to offend you, sorry if I did, your points are valid it is understandable by a french, even if it is clumsy, and you're right, I didn't read the whole text, only the beginning.
Yep, no offense (well not that much, it's okay).
I understand your point, and the explanation of those clumsy phrases is that I sometimes wonder how I could translate to be as close as possible to the original meaning, and above all I didn't re-read after. With bad consequences : some strange phrases you saw. My fault, I still need to improve my abilities to translate things while keeping the idea, not the original words. This is a job

Corrected. Thanks

"vient de sortir un petit puzzle game" jeu de réflexion.
This one is assumed. I didn't want to translate the genres, because I personnaly use the english terms. Especially "puzzle-game", we all know what a puzzle is. Do you use "jeu de tir à la première personne" and "jeu de rôle massivement multijoueurs" ?

Quote:
I read like the first few paragraph and made my opinion based on that. However, I'm not saying you shouldn't have done it, there are people out there who are happy to have that translation, and I wouldn't have done it, because the english suits me well. Moreover, it's better to train yourself than not doing it at all, your skills must already be better than before you translated the interview
Thank you. Actually, I don't really think my skills are better now. I find way more interesting to translate the other way, from French to English for English speakers. You can always find a way to be understood with people who speak you language ; it's more difficult to be understood by foreigners.

This is the work I did here some time ago with the translation of LBA2 documentary from French to English. I re-put the link here for people who still haven't seen it, it is REALLY interesting and gives MANY information about how they made LBA 2

Now, these are some GREAT news

I hope it's not only an "Ipad Remix", but a full working remake instead. LBA1 is the game that needs it the most (and Alone In The Dark, to be honest)

We'll see, if it doesn't get cancelled first! :P

I can't believe that after all these years they are finally working on LBA again.

I am speechless!
I can imagine anything substantial is a long way away yet but I think I am justified to have a fanspasm-seizure today <3.
Imagine my reaction when the first screenshots arrive? :O

Woah, that's so random... but in some way this shows that we're not (totally) some kind of weirdos, with all our MBN stuff

This great news corresponds with other important aspects of my life which have suddenly took a turn for the better. Ultimately, it is LBA that started it all. And when it comes to it, it will end with LBA. I am not a lunatic.

Wow, it feels like we LBA fans are like some kind of underground cult with undercover agents all over the world that not even we know about
(after all, even I lurked this forum for years before joining)

I think apart from those here from the very beginning, everyone has stared by lurking around for at least a year before joining.
