An interesting Interview with Frédérick Raynal

Don't know if you've seen this but it brings some hope for LBA3 being done at some point

Its wonderful to see him so enthusiastic.

Some info on how the iOs (ie touchscreen) version works;

* Tap twice to move to that location
* When using the magic ball you see its trajectory.
* Pinch zooming (zoom out more then normal, rather then in more - in fact, you can zoom out to see the whole current map)
* Graphically the same
* Concentrating on accessibility (so making some things easier, like no running into walls)
* Wants to find a new audience so LBA3 can be made with the same level of freedom.
* Wants to prove there is an audience for this type of game still

This is all good news.
Fred is going to San Francisco for Game Development Conference (GDC) next week. For sure he wants to show the game there.

It's amazing that this is actually happening.
I remember wanting LBA3 to come out so badly. I just knew back then I wanted to be in the games industry.
And here I am looking at the LBA1 mobile version, and looking at that interface. And the realization strikes that I am not solely that kid that wanted LBA3 anymore. I just wrapped up the user interface for Halo Spartan Assault half a year ago, so I can recognize what they did and why.
I discussed this with my collegues just last week: I'm perfectly comfortable working where I am now (also one of my producers worked with Frederick personally, it's so surreal). However if I would hear anything about concrete plans of LBA3 being made, I will probably quit, pack my bags, move to france and join the team. No joke
