Not that so many of you are from hockey-respecting countries but there are a few...

Sweden will have a good shot, but I think the Russians will win it. Or perhaps the Tjechs... But the USA has the home advantage... but they don't score that well on Olympics usually... Ah well, I don't know it

Anja and Per will definately win gold, btw.

I think that the USA will take the hockey gold, since they always get a great advantage at home in all sports. They have actually won the last two olympic hockey gold medals at home. (1960 in Swuaw Valley and 1980 in Lake Placid) But then it was college teams. I think that Canada and Russia has got the two best teams, but the Russian stars always seem to be very nonchalant and it's rare that they really give their best. Bure scored 10 goals in Nagano.
The Czechs are always dangerous with their defensive way of playing, and they've also got Hasek..
Swedes haven't got Forsberg, but Näslund and SUndin are playing their best hockey ever...
Finland hasn't got Koivu and they are the underdogs, but underdogs are always dangerous.

Then I am SURE that Per wins, but the others are more difficult to be sure of. Anja has fallen four times in a row and Magdalena Forsberg was very bad at the last olympics and isn't used to the thin air.

Phew that was much...

They have not! He's said no to the tournament..

Anyway you can't compare him with Hasek, no one plays at his level...

Hehe, I think you know what my response will be...
It's gonna be team Canada... Not only because I'm a proud Canadian but also because this year the team is STACKED. Mario Lemieux, Brendan Shanahan, Eric Lindros, Paul Kariya, Jarome Iginla, and more (not to mention Curtis Joseph, Martin Brodeur and Ed Belfour in goal). To top it off, Wayne Gretzky as the executive director...

Oh, and whoever said it's gonna be the US, comon... hehe

It's not just the players...
I think it feels to obvious to say that Canada will take it.. With that team they can't be beaten if all teams shall be compared one to another.. But now.. there ARE matches that must be played... You gotta be lucky to win a tournament like that..
