Again not really siding about the music. But I feel there is somewhat of a grandour in the music from LBA1. Whatever is happening there, it's big, and you know it. LBA2 music doesn't have this, but instead has somekind of beauty in it, mood (for instance the difference between the palace guards and the francos). You can say both music are very different, but incredible in their own right.

What is amazing is that p.vachey's music seems mostly unpublished. I mean, he did not get that good in one go right? Where's his other music besides the already known games?

It's actually quite weird, because the game is not mentioned in his MobyGames profile. And according to the SimCity's credits page there, there isn't even music in the game.

I found LBA1 far too frustrating (call me a wimp if you like but the save game system didn't help) and LBA2 just seems more charming and fun. I can wander around in the dome of the slate for ages just listening to the music
I don't think I could face the Dome Of The Slate again for a while. It is so difficult! You can also listen to the same music on the Emerald Moon.

I have actually changed my opinion regarding which game I find more enjoying.

I played and finished LBA 2 before LBA 1 despite getting the games the same day.

LBA 2 however feels that it made it possible to travel and see the world from different perspectives. It was more open.

But with LBA 1 (Which I actually completed once only) I felt it was more competitive in terms of gaming. LBA 2 i completed several time and I didn't feel the urge to go back and play it that much.

But will probably sometime.

I prefer the LBA2 for its 3D exterior scenarios and better admosphere. In addition to having playable enhancements. But the 1 is very good too.
