What instruments do you play?

I was just thinking... I bet it'll take like a month or so 'till I finally get a live orchestrated version of my music... But maybe some of you guyz play some instruments yourselves?

If you do, and you think u'd like to play one of the instruments on one of my music pieces, please tell me...
I think it would be really cool if LBA fans would also play the LBA movie music

So if you think u could lend a hand and record it into your computer, please tell me, so I can give you the notes.

10x in advance

I play recorder (coincidence) and i can just about play the keyboard

lol... You know, when I posted this, I told myself - "well too bad no one here will know how to play the flute"...

Would any of you wanna do the flute (or recorder)?

Gazogem or Fireball2K, any of you think you can handle the piano?

I can jsut upload it here, but u'll have to download Noteworthy n order to see it. The software only takes up like 700 kb.

Btw - The right hand should be played with SynthStrings.
Left hand is the piano.

Funny you mention this Et, I was looking at 'War in Dreamland' in Notworthy a few days ago

Well, I play trumpet, electric/acoustic guitar, piano. I would be more than happy to play the trumpet (or trombone in the midi version ) part for War in Dreamland or anything else. I'll record ASAP.

Wonderful

Few things though

Make sure Noteworthy opens the file ok... Sometimes it doesn't read midis right and it makes a glitch... Don't worry, if it makes a glitch, it'll make LOTS of glitch. You'll know if it's ok or not.
Make sure the tempo is alright
Try to follow the notes as much as you can... Including Staccatos and Accents... If I missed a place where you think there should be an accent, well just imrpovize but how you think it was supposed to be.
P.S - Jesse, what about doing the drums?

Well then you can play the Classic Guitar in "Coming Of Springtime Storms".

Oh, and I added a small 1:14 intro for "Treason In Proxima Island".
It's just two acoustic guitars... You can play them both and record each seperately.
I'll post the files here, tell me what you think.

I don't know how practical this is or if you have one, but i bet your school orchestra conductor would love to play it if you gave her the musical score. That way your instrument balance, etc... would all be taken care of. (something that from hearing your songs so far, you're not too keen on :)

Can I send you the flute notes?
And what about the Oboe and Clarinet?

And by precussion, do you mean stuff like Pizzicato and such?

Ochestral percussion is things like timpani and xylophone. Pizzicatto is plucking a stringed instrument. :)

What's the orchestra you've got lined up to play for you?

Hmm... Well War In Dremland has 2 Music Boxes and a Vibraphone, which, I think, is kinda the same as Xylophone...

I've got pretty much all the instruments I need, my cousin composes "Big Band" music and hopefully he'll like my music and agree to help me record it with the people he does music with.

i can play the keyboards quite well

however

i would prefer to play some classic guitar. but that's only if the melody is not very complicated 'cause i've been learning it just for a few months.
considering i can play the piece in some sense, be sure that i'll turn the world upside down if i have to in order to be able to perform it well

oboe and clarinet, i have no idea about
avant-garde musicians are now saying that the flute is different to the oboe and clarinet

orchestral percussion (at ABRSM grade level) really means snare drum, timpani, xylophone (and related instruments eg. vibes, glock, etc) and other incidental stuff (like triangle etc ). no kit though, sorry... i'm a musician, not a drummer...

i play snare (up to about gd6 or 7), timpani (to gd8) and xylophone (to gd8). i have a 4 8ve xylophone and a small (not very good) snare. no timps though

oh yeh and i have a flute and a piano.

with the xylophone, i haven't got too much experience with 4stick music, though i can have a go 2stick music i'm just fine with.
