Your town... How many inhabitants?

I got the idea of this thread when I was playing Transport Tycoon yesterday.

How many people live in your town?

Evry has about 53000.

It's the capital of the département of Essonne in the region of Ile de France

Essonne: 1.1332 million
Ile-de-France: about 10 million
France: 60 million

Belo Horizonte in 1996 (the most recent calculation) had around 2,1 million people. Medium very young (around 100 years) city. It´s the capital of my state (Minas Gerais) and third or forth biggest town of Brazil. For tourists, it´s a center to rest and some few tourism, because it´s surrounded by historical cities and some ecologic reserves. A metropolis.

The question wasn't where you lived. It was how many inhabitants your city had..

Well Dhahran in total, the place I live, consists of three merged towns, Khobar, Dammam and Dhahran and the population in 2002 was about 675,000. It's basically the center for a large American oil company named Aramco.
